After receiving it, I compared it to Google translate carefully within two hours, and found Google translate in my iphone is a little bit stronger because: 1) pockettalk requires very clear accent and slow sppech, while Google translate can recognize the quick voice more accurately. 2) pockettalk cannot work well if the there are too many noises in the environment, Google translate performs a little bit better. 3) some commonly used words couldn't translated by pockettalk, for example, 'JR pass', but Google translate can translate it accurately.
Even though it's not as smart as I expected, I still think pockettalk is a good product because it looks more stable compared to the application in my iphone, sometimes Google translate's network is unstable. In addition, I think using a pockettalk when asking others in other counties may be more convenient than smartphone.
One advice to the developers of the pockettalk: It seems that customers cannot upload the correct translation to the system if the customers found the translation in pockettalk is wrong. I think the developers should consider to provide an interface where they can collect the user's data (collective intelligence) to make the system more smart via the machine learning training of the data.
