In 2012 my computer died and I decided to use a Windows 2 in 1 as my main daily computer. I realised that for me I didn’t need a full computer. Here I am in 2019 and most of what I do is on the cloud. For that a Chromebook makes sense. I have been using Google Docs and Spreadsheets for over 10 years at home and 4 years at work (my company using Google for almost everything).
So the ASU’s C101PA. I have been using it for a while with a 32GB memory card in it and it has done 100% of the things that I want to do. Android apps work well and offer a range of software options.
The bad: touchscreen. It isn’t very good. Just entering my PIN is difficult. I’m still not 100% with it. (Please visit a store and try it for yourself). It is usable but not great. The trackpad isn’t great either. It is pretty basic.
I love Chrome OS and the software works well. Battery lasts as expected. Keyboard is easy to type on. The keyboard automatically turns off when it is in either display or tablet mode.
For the price I paid this does everything that I need it to.
