アイアンウッド将軍って…バカなの？

レリックを守るため、アトラスの
アイアンウッド将軍に協力する
ルビー達だが…

面白くない訳では無いが、ストーリーの
テンポや戦闘シーンの迫力がイマイチで、
何だか中弛み感を感じる展開。

原作のモンティ・オウム氏が
亡くなっているのを差し引いても
RWBYってこんな感じだっけ？
という内容。

頭が固くて極端なアイアンウッド将軍と
すぐキレるロビン候補など、
頭の悪いキャラにイライラ！
特に終盤のルビー達とエース部隊の
対立がバカすぎ！

リーダー格のクロウが相棒を
殺され、まんまと敵に逃げられる
シーンは、カッコ悪すぎて
開いた口が塞がらなかった。

今までのRWBYの面白さに比べると
今回は期待外れだったので、
次のシーズンの挽回を楽しみに
したいと思います。

RWBYと言えばバトルですが、今までは強いほうが勝つ！という勝負の結果でしたが
今回はストーリー上こちらが勝つ！という感じがしました

エース部隊に全員あっさり捕まるし、簡単に敵の罠にかかるし・・・バトルがすっきり楽しめませんでした
シーズン６で復活したクロウがシーズン７ではまったく役立たずだし、コスチュームと髪型もかわりましたが、それもいまいちだし

唯一あの子の復活だけが良かった点です

This short review, is just an overview of all the volumes combined. Before I get started, I would like to just only focus on the pros and cons of the overall show. If you would like a more in-depth review of the RWBY series in general, please go on Youtube and check out some well done reviews/critiques/analyzations of the show. Furthermore, I want to state that I am a huge fan of this show and I enjoyed this a lot more than I did "The Boys." Without further ado, here is a short list of pros and cons for the show: (Afterwards, I will give some advice on how to improve the show just a little bit more for the upcoming volume 9.)

Pros:
-Lots of action.
-Decent/fun storytelling.
-Relatable characters.
-Beautiful animation.
-Excellent music.
-Outstanding voice acting.

Cons: (Everything else sadly. But I will just condense it to six major flaws)
-Questionable motivations for the characters. EX: Ruby and Ironwood.
-Not enough information on the Grimm.
-The abilities of this characters/magic, needs just a little bit more explanation/demonstration.
- Too many characters are being introduced in volumes 4-7. This causes the show to lose focus.
-Cheap/predictable deaths of certain characters.
-Salem. (She is a villain with conflicting views on life, that really don't add up to anything)

Words of advice:
-Slow down! Focus on a couple of characters at a time during certain arcs.
-Focus more on who the Grimm are and show us some new versions of them! (Maybe reveal if they are angels, demons or corrupted humans?)
- Volume 9 has left the door open for multiverse, time travel, fan theories and or life/death story based writing opportunities. Don't waste this opportunity! Make it deep, meaningful and even add some what if scenarios if you must. Just make sure that it makes sense! (Especially if you are going to bring certain characters back from the dead)
-Make Salem's characterization stronger. (This is the same issue that I had with the supes/the Butcher in "The Boys." Make me care for the characters. You are doing an excellent job by showing me what is going on. Now you need to tell your audience what the heck is going on.)
-Emerald and Neo need to stay on the vigilante path. Mercury can be killed off since he is a weak character. (Unless you want to give him a redemption scene, then add on to his personality/motivations)
-If it isn't broke, don't fix it. (If the fans like Ruby and etc. a certain way based on their actions and etc., DON'T CHANGE IT! Improve upon it! Most fans have an issue with Ruby's leadership skills/character from what I heard online. Try diving deeper into Ruby's mindset. Make sure the characters learn magic/improve their skills as well. Oh and Yang must still tell her creative puns. Don't focus on the fan shipping! Focus on the story/characters/Salem in Volume 9.

The countdown to Volume 9 begins. Congrats to everyone, the fans and the abridged versions of these characters. RWBY wouldn't make it as far as it did, if it wasn't for everyone's contribution/support. Now go out there and prove the those that over critique this show, that you are listening/care! ^^ I can't wait to see how this show continues to evolve! I really want to give this show a 5/5! But as it stands, the overall show gets a rating of a B+!

I own all of RWBY, including season 8, which came out just recently. The story and characters both progress, and it looks like season 9 should be the climax. In season 7, the main characters and their friends arrive in Atlas, the floating city, and its grounded counterpart, Mantle. However, its leader, General Ironwood, is paranoid and obsessed. Ruby and her friends find some good news and are reunited with a friend, but they also encounter growing problems.

This is a great season, and after you watch it you should definitely get season 8, which ends on a big cliffhanger.

So as a long time fan of the series, there are things I love about this series that were not included on the disc for some reason (which is why I didn't hit the 5 star button).

First off, the story is great and it is all here. No confusion to be made about that.

Secondly, one of the charms of the series are the Intro and ending sequences. Both of these are not present for each episode where only the first episode is left in tact. Every other disc has these and has me wondering why they were not included on this one. As a collector, I have the disc. As a fan of these quirks, thankfully I have Crunchyroll to enjoy the little things in the endings. Sadly, once they stop streaming the series I will have to find another means of watching these. Maybe one day they will release a different version that includes it all.

I know it is a nit-pick but if I pay for something, I want all of it and not some of it.

The best part about Volume 7 for me? That would be the wonderful character development of James Ironwood. Now he's been getting his development journey since the early releases of RWBY, but Volume 7 hit the spot. I'd fight along side this guy any day. I only wish they continued his positive development... but Volume 8 disappointed me greatly at doing that.
