When I am writing a review I support myself with the help of a Google translator, so please be understanding for any stylistic and/or spelling errors.
The photos used in the collages were taken by me in daylight using a Canon mirrorless camera. I had the white balance set to AWB.
I bought the Tifa figurine through the Japanese Amazon in the Buurin-Japan store (We ship internationally), because in the store where I have been buying Play Arts Kai figurines so far, it was "sold out". This figurine with all fees cost me 13135 JPY (approximately 116 USD).
SERIAL NUMBER: SZBJ202011 (the serial number is on the bottom of the box)
JAN CODE: 4988601346238
UPC CODE: 66224882763
The serial number shows that my copy of the figurine was manufactured in November 2020 (202011).
Pros:
1. Very attractive price for the purchased item including shipping.
2. Instant delivery by DHL Express courier from Japan to Poland (one of the countries belonging to the European Union).
3. No need to pay VAT after the item arrive in Poland, because it was taken care of by the Japanese Amazon.
4. In the case of my order, the box with the figurine was packed by Japanese Amazon in an additional carton box.
Cons:
Some of these cons can apply to all Tifa figurines, regardless of the market they are intended for.
1. The painter probably wanted to emphasize the outline of the muscles, the effect of a poorly applied self-tanner appeared. I managed to even out the color a little by washing the PVC fragment with a cotton swab soaked in isopropyl alcohol, and then washing the PVC fragment with water.
2. Poorly processed PVC on the underside of the arms in the shoulder area, excess plastic not removed and visible marks after trimming?
3. Due to the poorly cut mounting place in the thigh, one of the legs is shorter than the other by about 3 mm, which makes it very difficult to place the figurine in a stable position without a stand.
4. You cannot change the back hair at all (and certainly not in a light, easy and pleasant way), because the mounting element that makes the whole head move comes out of the neck and not from the back hair (where it should come out), where it is not at all it can be removed. Maybe it needs to be heated with a dryer or moistened with soapy water? Ideally, the box's extra back hair (two pieces) would have their own mounting element included. Someone at Square Enix hasn't thought of that, unfortunately.
5. In the box, both magnets that hold the flap closing the window were detached, and I had to stick them with double-sided adhesive tape. Maybe the box was stored in the warehouse in inappropriate conditions, that is, in too high temperature?
