Very good, but not excellent as most other albums

People may be fooled to dismiss this album (I was myself), as song #2 which is used to promote the album is the weaker song of the album.
Highest peak of the album is Keme guitar solo on song #1. But song #10 which does not have Keme guitar is one of the best of the album.
Unfortunately the album sound production is often not pleasant, there is a lot of pop-ish, sparkling sound all around. But if we our brain can filter that noise, we can find the usual very good Marianne music.
I am hoping for a live album/DVD where the music is played by the band sound roots, without the pop-ish sparkling sound.
This time only a 4 star album, not a five star like almost all other Kinoco albums. Still very good.

曲は良いし、各演奏もますます上手くなっているんだけど
何かキラキラし過ぎている。
個人的な好みですが、キラキラよりもギラギラした
キノコホテルが好きです。
エマちゃんが居た頃の泥臭い空気が懐かしい。

キノコホテルのアルバムは，奇数枚目が少しマニアックでねっとりとした内容，偶数枚目が比較的キャッチーでダンサンブルという印象で，2タイプのアルバムが交互にリリースされていると思うのですが，個人的には後者のキノコホテルが好きです。6枚目の今作は，偶数枚目の作品の中でもこれまでにないキャッチーさと新鮮さがあり，大満足でした。プロデューサーがつくとこんなに音色の印象が変わるんですね。飽きることなくあっという間に聴き終えました。初めて聴く人にも，ちょうどいいのではないかと思います。
古いファンの人には寂しさもあるかもしれませんが，キノコホテルの妖艶さや，不思議と懐かしい感じのするメロディーは健在です。10周年には集大成としてニューアレンジアルバム『プレイガール大魔境』やベスト的内容のライブアルバムまでリリースされていたので，ちゃんと一区切りつけてもらった上で，ここで今までと異質な（けど変えてほしくない部分は変わらない）内容のものが聴けたことで，個人的にはいっそう好きになりました。サービス精神旺盛で，聴き手の気持ちをよく考慮してひとつひとつの作品が練られているバンドだと思います。

Kinoko Hotel are great, and this new album is fantastic. A little different from their usual style, but they have adapted to it really well. However, do not buy this 'Maker's Fan' version - the fan is a joke!!!! It is 400yen more expensive than the regular CD/DVD version, and what you get is a cardboard fan, the type they give away outside drugstores!!! To charge money for it is a disgrace. The album is 5 stars but the fan deserves nothing ... Awful!!!!

もうすぐデビュー10年のキノコホテル。
今回のアルバムのクオリティの高さはずば抜けている。
なんちゃって昭和な人たちとは全然違う。
ディスコ、ニューウェイヴ、パンク、プレグレ、といった楽曲に
60年代後半のポップスっぽいメロディーもあるが基本は美メロ。
女性だけのバンドでこの個性と演奏力は世界的にも類を見ないのでは？
天才ベーシストのジュリエッタ。ベースがでかいミックスが気持ちよい。
キノコホテル7作目のフル・アルバム『マリアンヌの奥儀』は＜踊れるキノコホテル＞をコンセプトに制作。
今作は、来年のメジャーデビュー10周年に向け新たなキノコホテルの魅力を開花すべく、共同プロデューサーに島崎貴光（SMAP、AKB48 etc.）を迎え入れ、創業12年目にしてキノコホテルが新境地に挑んだ意欲作である。
「グルーヴの追求と名曲群」を指標に、サウンド的にはデビュー以来キノコホテルのイメージとして強かった「サイケデリック」や「ガレージ」の要素を意図的に薄めつつ、ポップに洗練された新しい魅力に満ちた大傑作アルバムに仕上がった。
支配人マリアンヌ東雲が新たに書き下ろしたオリジナル10曲は今までと変わらぬ妖しさ溢れる＜キノコ節＞でありながら、そこに現代のトレンドにも通じるダンス・ミュージックの躍動感、往年のポップスの叙情性、ロックンロールの野性味etc…が交錯する濃厚で緩急ある40数分間となっている。

これ迄の中で最も好きなアルバムです。曲を聴くたびに何故キノコホテルが有名にならないのか不思議でなりません。個人的にはこれからも応援します。
