今年になって、突然、電気を聞き始めたビギナーです。一通りのアルバムを聞いて、このアルバムは評価が低かったので買うのを躊躇していたのですが、言うほど悪くはなかったです。ちょっと暗めのテクノポップで、派手さは無いですが、何度か聞くと、意外な味が染み出てきます。

全編に渡って、ムード歌謡なメロで狂信的なファンでない限りわざわざ購入する事はないと思う。企画ものに近いけど、違うと思う。初めて聴く人がこれだったら、かなりキツイんでは。ピエール瀧氏の歌詞は冴えてますが。このアルバムの後、何も出さなかったら、離れていったファンもいるでしょうね。この後すぐに出されたシングルはとても良いです。

This is one of my favorite Denki Groove albums! It has a nice variety between all songs yet they all fit quite well on the same playlist. 「ポンコツ幻想曲」(Ponkotsu Phantasy) and 「何枚だ?」 (How many?) surprise the listener with a beat inspired by Kraftwerk's "Numbers". The latter one features a synthetic voice that suits the beat too well. 「猫とイスラエル 」(Cat and Isreal) is a bit calmer and more melodic. 「エキゾティカ」 (Ekizotika) is my favorite tune of this album and really enjoyable. No matter how bad I feel this song cheers me up a little every time :)
