メッチャ新しいゲーム性とかは無いですが普通に遊べますキャラやメカのモデルとか動きとかはキャラゲーとしてはかなり良いですし原作知らなくてもメタルマックスとか好きなら楽しめる内容です心配ならYouTubenなりでプレイ動画みて判断するほうが良さそう

原作や映画、アニメを知らずにゲームから入ると、正直微妙かもしれない。

ゲームとしてはよくあるオープンワールド風。風をつけたのは、行けるようで行けない（いわゆる見えない壁）が多数あるため。

良い点
・鳥山キャラの魅力がよく出ている
・鳥山メカを自由に動かせる
・グラフィックも良く世界観に没入できる

いまいちな点
・戦闘が単調で後半は作業感が強い
・モブキャラやモンスターが色違いばかりで種類が少ない
・メカの種類は多いが、結局気に入ったメカしか使わない
・空を飛べるメカが無い（ストーリーで一時的に操作可能）
・ダンジョン的ポジションの戦艦内探索が迷いやすく、ストーリー中何度も訪れることもあり苦痛
・ボス戦の立ち回りも毎回同じ

と、ゲームとしては悪くはないが凡作といった印象。基本的に同じことを繰り返すので飽きやすい。
サンドランドが好き、鳥山明が好きな人はそれなりに楽しめる作品。

鳥山明の世界観なのにニーアオートマタの様な少し寂しいBGMが特徴です。メカの作成やカスタマイズが楽しいのは勿論、戦車を使った戦闘も新鮮で面白いですよ。
でも少し目が疲れやすいのは僕だけかな？

ゲームシステムそのものはどこにでもあるオープンワールドゲームです。
・広いマップに点在する拠点に向かう
・敵を倒す、アイテムを集めるなどのクエストをこなす
・道中敵を倒したりアイテム・素材を回収する
・時折おきるミニイベントで敵を倒す
・高いところや離れたところにみえる宝箱を取るためにルートを見つける
などなど、擁護のしようがないほどにありふれたものですが、逆に言えば「オープンワールドゲームがやりたいな」と思って手を出す分には期待を裏切られることはありません。
そして、一番のセールスポイントであり、購入者大半の動機になっているであろう原作「SAND LAND」のゲームとしてどうか、という点で言えば、満点に近いと個人的には思います。
オリジナルキャラこそ出ますがストーリーはマンガ版から大きく外れず展開しますし、キャラクターのモデリングも鳥山明のマンガらしい表現がほぼ出来ています。(新キャラ・アンと、とあるサブイベントに出てくる女の子など、女性キャラの表情が変わると口元あたりの影が変になります。バグ？)
何より、原作にもあった戦車をはじめ、鳥山メカを自分の手で動かし、カスタマイズするという楽しみはこのゲーム唯一無二のものではないでしょうか。
メカの操作感もほどよく不便で、戦車を動かすゲームらしい操作方法を味わえます(設定である程度は変更可能です)。
色々書きましたが体験版の印象そのまま、といえばとてもわかりやすいかと思いますので、気になる方は一度体験版のプレイをおすすめします。
というか、戦車を入手するまでは原作大ファンの自分でもちょっとつまらない寄りのゲームに感じたので『戦車さえ入手できればあの楽しいプレイ体験が…』というモチベーション維持のためにも、体験版のプレイをとても、すごく、絶対におすすめします。
進めていけば原作にないストーリーも展開するとのことなので、プレイしながら楽しみにしています。

【5月1日追記】
ーーーーー
プレイ時間12時間を超え、メカも戦車、ジャンプメカ、車を所持しています。
・家具を作成し、好みの部屋を作れるマイルーム
・メカのカラーリング変更(部位ごとに変更可能＋デカールもあり)
など大きい機能の解放や、あちこち回れば高頻度で手に入るマシン用の改造パーツなど、ストーリーをある程度意識して進めれば飽きが来ないよう定期的に新しい何かが解放されていく作りになっているようです。
※メインではないロケーションの中には、特定のマシンでないと進めないギミックを待つものが複数あるので、道中通り掛かったとしても、マシンが揃うまではある程度無視した方が良さそうです。
また、パーツが揃ってきたことで幅の広がったマシンの改造はきちんと楽しく、やはりこのゲーム一番のポイントは「鳥山メカを自分で動かし、好みにカスタムする」という部分に尽きるなと思います。

(以下気になっていること)

原作ファンでもあるので単調になりがちとはいえこのゲームのことは好きですし、基本的に肯定してはいます。それでも気になることが一点だけ。
道中自動的に交わされるキャラクター同士の会話なのですが、再生頻度に対してバリエーションが少なく、ほんの数分前に聞いた会話をまたされるのはちょっと萎えます。会話のバリエーションを増やすのは今更難しいと思うので、いっそのこと頻度を減らして欲しいくらいです。
独り言ならまだしも、会話となるとさすがに同じ内容の繰り返しは耳につくので…。

【5月12日追記】

プレイ時間40時間を超え、マシンもパーツもかなり増えてきました。マシンは1種につき何台か持つことができるので「この戦車はあの敵と戦う時専用で作ろう」とか「このバイクは速さだけ突き詰めてレース用にしよう」など、複数持ちが出来る故の遊び方があります。
ただ、持ち出せる枠が5台だけ＋パーツ換装だけならマップ上でどこでもすぐに出来るので、複数のマシンを作るのは自己満足の範疇は超えません。(色やデカールは拠点でのみ可)
ストーリーはPS5上で確認できる進行率48%あたりで原作を消化し終わり、エピローグ的なミッションを挟んだのちオリジナルストーリーが展開しています。今のところ大きな破綻もなく、楽しんでプレイできているので、原作を汚された！みたいな気分にはまったくなっていません。
ただ、オープンワールドゲームとしては本当にありがちなので、原作を知らない方には「もっと面白いオープンワールドゲームがたくさんありますよ」とお伝えします。
しかしながら、原作ファン、そして鳥山明先生の遺した数多くの素晴らしいデザインのメカが好きな方には、この上なくオススメな作品です。
鳥山明先生、そしてこのゲームを開発・発売してくれた皆さま、本当にありがとうございました。
まずはクリアまで、しっかり楽しませていただきます。

(以下気になっていること2)

ダンジョン的要素として「遺跡」と「戦艦」がありますが、ギミック・部屋の構成・見た目はもちろん拾えるアイテムも似たり寄ったりです。素材はメカパーツ作成で大量に使うため意味はありますがマンネリ感は否めません。
マップのアイコンにチェックマークが付くとか、攻略が終わった遺跡の数に応じてデカールがもらえるとか、なんでもいいので「このダンジョンをクリアしたんだ」という達成感は欲しかったなと思います(もしあることがわかればこの内容は消します)
