絵は綺麗でコットンらしさが出ているのですが、操作が難しい。なんていうのかな?戦闘機ものの撃墜みたいに照準が合わないと雑魚さえ倒せません。あと雑魚でも狙いにくいので結構強いです。
殆どのプレイヤーがイラッとするのが、次の点ではないでしょうか?
やられるとコンティニューこそ出来ますが、ステージの最初から強制的にやり直しです!やられたところからコンティニュー不可能です!ステージの途中だろうが中ボスだろうがボスだろうが関係なくプレイ中のステージの最初から、です!
コットントリビュートの開発会社の作品なのでしょうが、これは酷い。
人によっては投げたくなるでしょう。ノーコンティニューでないとステージが進みません。
雑魚は自機狙ってかなら正確に攻撃してきます。あとステージの遮蔽物にぶつかる、海面に当たるでもダメージになります。
欲しい人は中古で安いのがあれば、で良いと思います。

以下、残念ポイントがなければ、ゲーム本編は遊びやすい作品で良作となったはずで、非常に惜しい作品である。
残念ポイント
・マニュアルがない。パッケージ版は紙ペラ1枚入っていて、そこに簡単に操作が記載されているだけ（仕方なくネットで検索して、ドリームキャスト版の説明書を参照した）。
・キーコンフィグがない。
・連射機能がない。
・コンティニュー制限あり。しかもステージ最初から（せめてEASYは設定で変更できるようにすべき）。
・オープニングムービーを始めとするアニメパートの日本語字幕が誤字脱字が多い（日本語ネイティブではない海外の業者に外注したか？）。

アップデートがあるなら、ぜひ少しでも改善してほしいものである。

効果音がしょぼく爽快感がなく１ステージが長いのはテンポが悪いと感じた。
また、ステージ中のキャラの会話は面白味がなくボスを倒した後に発生する湯のみを取る
ミニゲームもいらないと思った。
