I paid AU$54.99 for this controller.
Dimensions are 30cm x 12cm x 5cm when attached to the console. Obviously go for a thicker bag (6cm or more) to ensure clearance for the vulnerable analog sticks.
Fits fine in the official dock and didn't affect the charging ability.
Weight is about 32g heavier than a pair of Joycons (although my Joycons have covers so are a few grams heavier than normal). I couldn't tell the difference and in fact the Hori felt a bit lighter, perhaps due to the better hand grips allowing me to hold the console more firmly.
The back of the controller has a knurled surface finish to help with grip. The plastic material is solid and there is no flex at all. It feels like a high quality accessory.
As you can see from my photos, the Hori sits between a pair of Joycons and an official pro controller in terms of size. Thus it strikes the perfect balance between the portability of the Joycons and the ergonomics of the pro controller.
I used it to play Metroid Dread and it feels almost the same as the pro controller. The analog stick caps are rubberised and remind me of the Sony DS4 controller. The ABXY buttons have a satisfying muted click to them, but the D-pad is a little bit too concave for me. The other function buttons are fully rubberised (home, capture, + and -, assign and turbo buttons). The trigger buttons have slightly more travel than the pro controller and are comfortable to use. I haven't had a chance to use the paddle buttons on the back so can't really comment other than to say that I haven't experienced any accidental presses, as the Hori rests on my palms and the paddles are next to my middle fingers.
My hands are large (I buy size Large gloves typically), with a span of 23.5cm between thumb and pinky when stretched wide and a height of 20.5cm measured from wrist to middle finger tip. The pro controller is a slightly small size for me, so the Hori is a little smaller in my palms, but it is still comfortable when considering the benefits of portability versus the pro controller, and it's much more comfortable than the "un-ergonomic" Joycons!
The manual is in Japanese so I haven't experimented with the assign or turbo (or paddle) buttons, but I didn't buy this controller for that functionality, so I haven't bothered to search online for the English manual.
The only negatives as others have already pointed out are the lack of rumble and gyro, and it doesn't have it's own battery.
Lastly, based on Google Translate, the warning sticker says not to touch the analog sticks when powering on the Switch or it may cause errors.
I hope you found my review and photos helpful (and well done for reading this far haha)!
