今更購入して遊んでます。2017年のゲームなのでちょっと古い昔のPCの洋ゲーみたいな雰囲気(説明不足でいきなり放り投げられる点とか、UIの不便さ等)がありますが、それでも面白さが勝ります。
内容はマイクラとかモンハンとかサバイバルシミュレーションゲームとかを雑に混ぜちゃいましたみたいな感じ。
意外とシングルプレイのRPG的な遊び方にも対応しており、主人公や拠点をまったり育成みたいなプレイも可能なところが気に入りました。
他人のサーバーにお邪魔して暴れてきても良し。色んな遊び方ができる奥が深いゲームです。

クラフト + オープンワールドということでバグが多いですが、その辺はご愛嬌。
PS4に無理やり落とし込んでる感があるので、PS4proかPS5でのプレイを推奨しておきます。

当方元々サンドボックス系は好きで、テラリアから入ってマイクラ、DQB2等プレイしてます。

バグゲーと思い敬遠していたARKもモバイル版のプレイをきっかけに、PS4でコンプリート版が出ると聞き購入（術中）。ただ、オンラインプレイ時はログアウト中にボコボコにされたり、PvPがないモードでは建築やテイム制限があったりと肌に合わないところがありました。

先に言っておきます。
万人におすすめはできませんが、とても楽しいです。詰まったら攻略を見ながら対応していくスタイルでちょうど良く、どっぷり恐竜世界に浸れます。
原始的な世界観が良さげと思ったのでprimitive plusで遊んでますが、こちらのモードは和訳が間に合っていないため手探り感がありますが、インベントリ100は素敵とか言いながら遊んでます。
計40時間くらいプレイしてますが、まったりプレイのためまだislandのレッドウッドです。カワウソ赤ちゃんの破壊力（可愛さ）すごい。明日はマンモスをテイムしに行く予定です。

さて、ここからはオフラインマルチ（画面分割2人）プレイについて、注意事項を挙げておきます。
少しでもミスマッチなく楽しんでいただける方が増えるよう、オフラインマルチをおこなう際に必ず知っておくべき情報をお伝えします。

０ 設定調整必須
Ⅰ セーブはオベリスクで！※P+のみ
Ⅱ エラー落ちあり（プロじゃないPS4使用）
Ⅲ ラグによりイラッとくる場面は多々ある
Ⅳ 文字潰れ注意（40型テレビ使用）

０設定調整必須
他の方のレビューにもありましたが、基本オンライン向け仕様なのでバランス調整しましょう。ヌルゲーにしてもアレなので、ネットの記事を参考にしつつ調整してみてください。好みもあるので、最初の3日〜1週間程度は調整用プレイと割り切っていいと思います。
また、初期の画面設定では画面内にショートカットアイコンが収まっていないことがあるので、オプションから調整しましょう。

Ⅰセーブはオベリスクで！
テラリアをプレイされている方ならイメージはつきやすいかと思いますが、キャラクターとワールドのデータは別です。
マルチプレイをする場合は先に1Pがワールドに入り、後から2Pがキャラクターをロードしてワールドに入る、という流れです。1P側はキャラクターがワールドデータと紐付いているためか、ロードの必要はありません。

通常はゲームをやめるとき、自動でワールドとキャラクターデータを保存してくれるものだと思っていましたが、2P側はゲストのような扱いとなるためか、データが保存されない…ロストするケースがあります。
そのため、PS4ワールド内に点在するオベリスク（でっかいクリスタルみたいなもの）で持ち物全部預けてキャラクターをアップロードし、次回プレイ時はダウンロードするといった手続きが必要になります。
この手順さえ守れば、今のところキャラクターロストはないです。そのため、始めてから生活基盤ができ、テイムもある程度できたらまずオベリスクに拠点を構えることを強くお勧めします。
プレイの都合上、どうしてもオベリスクまで戻れないときはPS4つけっぱにしてます（チキン）。
※primitive plusじゃない通常モードだとオベリスク以外でも問題なく保存できました。

Ⅱエラー落ちあり。
慣れてくると生肉を□で小分けにする、建材を大量に作る、高速で移動するなど、負荷がかかりそうな場面があります。たまーにエラーで落ちます。
でもご安心ください。エラー落ちしても再開時、キャラはロストせず、少し前のデータ=おそらく最終オートセーブ地点から復活します（またイチから橋を作れと…！）。

Ⅲラグでイラッと
先にも挙げた生肉小分けや、インベントリを開くとき、インベントリ間でアイテム移動するとき、一瞬止まります。ニンジャラ並のヒットストップもあります。
ソロなら問題ないんです。でもマルチの際は、戦闘中と建築中は相手を気遣ってあげてください。どうかお願いします。

Ⅳ文字潰れ
まぁ見にくくてもサドル作るときだけ近付けば良し。よく分からんなら作ってから考えよう！
…とは言うものの始めたては大変なので、目が悪くなるくらい画面に近づいてあーだこーだ言いながらプレイしよう！

現状満足だけどいつかPS5かPCでノンストレスなARKもやりたい…

最高に楽しい、最低にトラウマになるゲームです。
しかもサービスは終了し、バグを修正しないまま。
クリアしてもエンディングさえも見た事もなければ、ボスを倒した育てた恐竜達は消えてしまいます。
MAP毎に恐竜を移動出来るのですが、そのままエラー落ちすれば、消えてしまいます。

仲間にするのに何時間も掛けた恐竜は一瞬で消えてしまいます。

チートコードで召喚も出来ますが、その子は自分が仲間にした子ではなく、何の愛着も湧きません。

チートするぐらいしかバグに対抗出来ないゲームって…
