My starter Pokémon when I played Gold and Soul Silver was Cyndaquil, and I preferred Quilava to Typhlosion until recently. Like what they did with the fire. Arrived on time. In good condition. Love it!
I bought this figurine because a) Quilava is one of my favorite Pokemon; b) I'm going to be drawing it regularly from a variety of poses and wanted a physical model to refer to. For the price ($9) I would not buy one of these again - I've bought $4 self-assemble figurines that were far more detailed than this. Due to the material used ( a soft-ish plastic) they couldn't get very sharp details in, hence the overall feel is a little muddy and this is obviously a kids' toy rather than a collector's figurine. The annoying thing was that the workmanship is not very good on mine. The figure is made of 4 parts joined together and you can see very very obviously where the seams are when the parts were fitted together. There is one part on the body where the parts were so poorly fitted that the stripe separating the blue back from the yellow belly is actually split into two instead of a continuous line. Also note that the color is quite different from what you see on Amazon - i.e. closer to Quilava's ACTUAL, correct colors (more greenish body and yellower flames). Lastly, I scratched it a couple of times on its belly just to test the durability, and the paint did not come off.
I am a huge Pokemon fan, and Quilava is one of my favorites. I bought the toy to play Pokemon Tabletop with some friends of mine, and the figure worked great for the game play.
