This product is the worst product I ever bought at Amazon. The plastic is so cheap I was afraid it would fall apart in a day. The plastic in the case seems to be of better quality! It reminds me of a 1960's 'Made-in-Japan' product you win in a crackerjack box or gumball machine. Yet they charge $40 for this? Adjusting the lens actually does change the power, so the concept is correct. But after a day or so the lenses (if you could call them that) scratched a line across the surface. Now, 2 months later, there are 5 scratch lines. My vision fluctuates. That's the only reason I kept this junk. For $40 you can buy binoculars that use the same principle and get optical quality glass lenses. So far, no quality manufacturer has come forth to blow this cheap product out of the waters and out of business. Why is that? Perhaps the money-hungry optometrist-ophthalmologist guild has something to do with this?
I've bought these twice, both in response to different person's cataract surgeries (my own and someone else's), when the eyes involved differed markedly and temporarily as to their needs for correction. Due to the cross-sliding plastic lenses, the optical quality of these glasses leaves much to be desired, and the adjustments are quite sensitive, but for a temporary solution, they're OK, meaning better than nothing, but certainly not optically as good as "real" prescription glasses. If you need an unusual correction for a month or two that is quite different in the two eyes, I'd recommend them. Otherwise, if you need them for a much shorter or longer time, or if you have other significant correction needs (such as for significant astigmatism), you'll probably find spending a little more of cheap-but-real (i.e., prescription) glasses more to your liking.

These are emergency glasses and I keep them in my first responder kit. I don't depend on them to get me or someone that needs them to be optical perfect. They will however, help you get by until you get a replacement set. I can say, I have used these for a few people who never wore glasses and after they dial them in - they realized they needed to make a visit to the optometrist! Great to store in a secondary location such as your hunting cabin, glove box, emergency kit, etc.
These glasses are not only goofy looking, they are not quite functional. The viewing area is quite small. Adjusting focus using the knobs is awkward. Nose rests are stiff and uncomfortable. The concept is novel, but it is poorly implemented.
