The Four Seasons may not be very well known by everyone in the UK, but in their greatest days of the 1960s they gave The Beach Boys, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones etc some serious competion. Anyone in doubt should hear/purchase The Very Best Of Frankie Valli And The Four Seasons Jersey's Best, it is great music at an excellent price. Who Loves You contains a total of 8 songs including Silver Star and December 1963 (Oh What A Night), all were given plenty of airplay in the mid 1970s. This is basically a very good disco album which appears to have been almost completely forgotten 35 years later. At 37 minutes the CD could have accomadated another album, but nevermind, this contains several good songs which cannot easily be found elsewhere. PS. For a Four Seasons 2 on 1 CD I recommned Half And Half (1970) and Helicon (1977).
OK. So this Four Seasons album is a departure from their earlier works but for it's genre it is no less a classic. As the Seasons embraced the age of disco their combined harmonies were eager to be exploited by the sounds of the burgeoning dance rhythms of the mid seventies! It's difficult to find the track "Silver Star" on any current compilation of the band and I would recommend this album for this track alone. However, we are also blessed to get: Who Loves You, December 1963 (Oh What a Night) and Harmony Perfect Harmony.

Love The Four Seasons---their vintage music was and always will be worth the time and money! Their later offering's were equally amazing, as they advanced in their creative and collective talents--this album and especially the remarkable: Genuine Imitation Life are real examples of a group, willing to step outside of their comfort zone and take a (real) risk! Those risks were well worth the, finished product!
