なんていい絵本に出会ったんだろう！という気持ちです！
セサミストリートはもともと好きだったので、こどもへの英語教育の為になんとなく購入しました。
内容は、タイトルの通りです。"みんな違って、みんないい"
可愛くて、わかりやすい大きな絵と、(リズム感のある感じで読めるような)読みやすい英語が、親しみやすくてお気に入りの絵本になりました。
何度も読み聞かせて、こどもと一緒に理解を深め、どんな人とでも仲良くなれて、どんな人にでも親切にできる人に育ってほしいです。

保育園でクラスの子と読みました。瞳の色や髪質、肌の色などについて、日常では意識することが少ない日本人の子どもたちですが、広い世界をイメージしたり、自分のことについて考えたりする良いきっかけになる絵本だと思います。
なによりもササミストリートの明るくて可愛い色使いやイラストが可愛い！
お気に入りの絵本になりました。

皆違って皆良い！
子供にその概念を知ってもらいたくて購入。
英語も簡単なので、お友達にもプレゼントしました。

ペーパーブックで持ち歩きもしやすく、読みながら子供に自分自身に考えてもらう機会なる。
色もセサミストリートならではのカラフルすぎないちょっとシックな色合いが素敵です。

とシンプルにメッセージを伝えてくれます。

A very simplistic, almost slightly racist approach to diversity. It ignores the complex challenges different ethnicities face, it ignores the fact we are not all born equal and the same and it shoots way below the mark it aimed for. I was quite disappointed after the raving reviews. It's behind the times, and one of the most important things to teach when you talk about diversity is that we are NOT all the same, and we need to respect the differences and other peoples experiences.

I can probably recite this book word for word now and I am totally fed up of it... but that's because my son loves it and HAS to read it every night! He has about 50 books but always chooses this.

It is bright, colourful and addresses 'differences' is a child friendly way without being OTT. I'd say perfect for 2-4 year olds, older than that and it is likely too simplistic.

I was gobsmacked and horrified when my Goddaughter came out with some racist nonsense she'd picked up at primary school. This might seem an overreaction but we are very close. Her mother (a close friend) is also rather enlightened in this arena too, hence the shock. (She's white, I'm black) But it's inevitable that just like the birds and the bees talk, all kids at some point will need one or several conversations, age appropriately - about issues of race. And this book is a wonderfully simple and fun starting point for that. For, I'd say 5 to 7/8 year olds. They can read along to the rhyming words and giggle! I'd say this book helps make such dialogue less 'charged'. The illustrations are really colourful and detailed, and definitely capture the imagination. My little one and I had fun, figuring out which character most closely captured our own features in resemblance. (out of a range of, for e.g. Hispanic looking, African, White, Chinese). It's not a dense book - not very many pages at all. But younger readers will probably give it back for several re-reads in one sitting..it's one of those! Thumbs up - it should be in schools I think!
