Some of the highlights include up-and-coming neighborhoods, an `Architour? of landmark buildings, design centers, and the best shops to buy unique items.

So it is with this wallpaper guide to Sapporo: light-weight physically, easy to carry along, and mostly ephemeral.
That is, the money-is-no-issue visitor, seeking three or four days if that much, in the Hokkaido area will find once-over-lightly information on a small selection of currently popular places to eat and places to stay. The grid-geography of the city and how to get around will (we hope) last much longer, as will some of the sights of parks and museums. There's enough to fill a few days in Sapporo well, including some lusty information on the beer-drinking and Genghis Khan barbecue establishments.
Readable, with good quality photographs, printed on glossy and heavier paper which is thus more practical for referring as one goes, this Wallpaper Guide is what it is. The journeyer seeking more context, history, depth, discursiveness will want to supplement this book with others on the Hokkaido area as well as Sapporo.
But still, a good value for the money and for the purpose.
