Paul Manzi is winning me over since replacing Rob Sowden and John Mitchell is his usual outstanding self with excellent guitar.

Where are all of the Arena fans? I can't believe I'm the first to write a review of this album. Unquiet Sky will rank at the top of Arena albums for a long time. Just received it yesterday and I have played it at least six times. Paul Manzi is winning me over since replacing Rob Sowden and John Mitchell is his usual outstanding self with excellent guitar. Clive Nolan continues to write superb music. One of progs lesser acclaimed song writers. If you are an Arena fan don't hesitate to buy this album. Jerry

Great music from Arena. It's a concept album based on a short story. It is hard to believe this band has been around for 20 years. It seems like yesterday that Songs From the Lions Cage came out. Thank goodness for bands like Arena and Pallas - they are both still putting out relevant prog music in 2015.
Still one of my favorite prog bands.

Another good disc from Arena - and I would agree that it doesn't seem as progressive sounding as their previous albums. I started listening to Arena with The Visitor and immediately was hooked on these guys. That disc really reminded me of Misplaced Childhood by Marillion and I have enjoyed their work since. the vocalists are always great too. Immortal could be my favorite, followed by Visitor, Contagion, Degrees of Separation, Peppers Ghost and now this new one. Unquiet Sky is still new to me, so it will likely grow on me like the rest have. The song writing is always very well thought out and Clive is still hitting on all cylinders, but in my opinion John Mitchell is one of the best guitarists in prog/rock that no one has ever heard of. Its ridiculous just how good this guy is...he should be a household name - maybe a small statue in his hometown square would be appropriate....Anyway, Arena is still making fantastic music and I think it is unfortunate that most people have never heard their music....especially in the US. Even my prog-rock friends don't seem to be tuned into them much but I will continue to recommend them.

This album may not be prog, but great music is great music. The Unquiet Sky together with The Seventh Degree of Separation are the new Arena. I may be too picky, but I didn't like any of their albums since The Visitor. One or two good songs here and there but as a whole very forgettable. Since Paul Manzi took over as lead singer, it seems that the music is written for him. The Unquiet Sky is very melodic. It took me about 3 times of listening to fall in love with the album and since, I am not able to take it out of my player. Clive is a musical genius, with all his projects I can't understand how he remains unknown. John Mitchell guitar work is brilliant. If I had a say, I would put out "How Did It Come To This?" as a single. Just a thought...
ONE OF THE BEST NEW RELEASES FROM 2015

I searched through the missing pieces in my Arena catalog and this was one of them. Don't ask me to go into detail as to why I love it because that would put me back to being a prog snob. The music and vocals are just fantastic. Not one second is wasted. Had it not been for Steve Wilson's Hand Cannot Erase, I would have voted this one as my favorite for 2015, even edging out Neal Schon's Vortex. Besides these three albums, 2015 was a sorry bunch. It looks like American musical tastes are growing dumber by the day as two out of the three releases are all British.
