Nancy Hallaway's hopes were shattered when her three-year-old twins, Cameron and Brett, were diagnosed as hyperactive with attention deficit disorder (ADD) and severe autistic tendencies.
Then she met Dr. Zigurts Strauts, the first doctor to suggest that Cameron and Brett might suffer from heavy metal toxicity. Dr. Strauts found unacceptable levels of lead, arsenic, aluminum, and cadmium in their bodies, and his treatments led to immediate and spectacular improvement in both children,
Hallaway and Strauts have written Turning Lead into Gold to help other parents whose children may be showing symptoms of autism or ADD, or whose development is delayed, because of metal poisoning. They answer a number of questions: why are metals toxic? how do children (and adults) become poisoned by metals? how do we test for and treat metal toxicity? how can we make our homes and environment metal-free?
Nancy Hallaway, RN, lives in North Vancouver, BC. Dr. Zigurts Strauts practices in Surrey, another suburb of Vancouver.
My son was lead poisoned. My doctor thought i was crazy. my husband was poisoned and i was pregnant and poisoned. I have been working against my son becoming Autistic for 5 years. I have succeeded due to my first hand knowledge of his lead poisoning. Had I not figured this out i might not have fought for so long for him. GET THE METAL OUT, find out how it gets in, and for god sake read this book. THIS BOOK GIVES HOPE and recovery from poisoning is possible. And it isnt as complicated as it is made out to be once you understand.
However, despite all the above, I would highly recommend this book and wish someone would write a follow-up, seven years on, outlining similar success stories that are happening today.
