Trilogy is, in my eyes, the best work Carpenter Brut has done yet. Where Leather Teeth channels a slasher flick, and suffers for it (imo), Trilogy covers a gamut as wide as the work of John Carpenter.
I mention John Carpenter specifically because, in both the name and sounds of Brut, I'm reminded of John Carpenter's Action and Horror flicks and as his penchant for writing electronic soundtracks. However, the biggest difference between John and Brut, musically speaking, is that Brut is simply superior. So, while I'm reminded of John, don't listen to Brut expecting the same work.

Easily the best of the genre2016年6月18日 - (Amazon.com)
I came across this genre recently by browsing music on YouTube and thought it was pretty interesting, and got into some of the artists like Perturbator and MegaDrive. And then I found Carpenter Brut, who are simply a step above the rest of them. Almost every song on this album is incredibly epic, dark, and catchy in a unique way without running the 80s action movie motif into the ground like a lot of the other artists in this genre do. This is one of those albums where you listen to it on repeat for days until you finally feel like taking a break and listening to something else.
