Ray Zinn is the founder of Micrel, Inc., one of the worlds leading microchip companies, and served as its CEO for 37 years. Still innovating, he is the founder of a Silicon Valley accelerator that helps business visionaries build profitable, enduring companies.
Do you want an answer for that? This book does that. After reading a tons of books on entrepreneurship, leadership and startups, finally there is a book which talks brutal truth about VC funding, boot-strapping, and above all, it talks about people...the very 'people' who are more than the product...'people' are employees, customers, vendors...anyone whom you interact with when you meet them...Prime motto of any enterprenuer is that 'people' should be happy..They should feel connected to you and the product. Unfortunately, very few books talk about it.
This book also quickly connects you with Ray. No doubt, he is being the 'longest-serving' CEO of Silicon Valley. Just take a note of the word 'longest-serving'...The word 'serve' is what an enterprenuer should be focusing one, and not on raising money, as money will follow...Thanks Ray for this wonderful eye opener. If you wish to start-up, please read realistic books and not optimistic ones...If I am able to do atleast 10% of what Ray has done in the world of startup and enterprenuership, I would be contended. I would definitely aim for 100%
