I have read several of Allie’s books and love every minute of reading. The characters are real people you would love to know and the stories as well as the conflicts are realistic. The detail in her writing allows you to create images and understanding of exactly what the characters are doing and feeling. Allie’s books allow you the get-a-way you desire when reading without the unrealistic plots of other authors. This book about Lou was so realistic about everyday people. It just shows that you don't have to be model or GQ ready to find the perfect person. Love happens to anyone open to receive it. I am so happy to have read this and for the happy ending for Lou.

At 17, my family cruise was nowhere near as exciting as Lou's is with Toby. I love watching Lou grow more comfortable with Toby as she comes to terms with wanting what she wants -- a serious relationship. Toby is a sweet man who wants the same thing. What stood out most for me in this book is the way Lou enjoys Toby's "innocent" touches.
