My wife looked surprise when I asked for a chastity belt for Christmas.
I can understand why as it could be taken a number of ways.
I think she heard an "a" where there wasn't one.
"Time to Go Home" is this terrific band's second album which melds elements of Punk, Alternative Rock and Shoe Gazer rock (Waht is Shoe Gazer Rock? Well it refers to musicians that play and spent their time looking at their shoes while they are playing. I'm sure most of the band's that have been put into that category like Teenage Fanclub don't spent their entire time looking at their shoes unless they are untied all the time or they stepped in something nasty).
Either way this is moody music with plenty of guitar.
Will you like it? Hard to say but if you can sample the music give it a try (by the way their first album has not been released on CD just fyi if you like this so you will be frustrated trying to get a hold of it if you try and seek it out in that format. It is, however, available on vinyl).
This is a terrific "alternative" (whatever the heck THAT means) rock album.
The writing is exceptionally good but, more importantly, the mastering is fairly decent here as well. It's not brickwalled--it isn't the most dynamic album that I have but it does have SOME dynamics and is listenable.
The digipak has a booklet with lyrics and full credits but not photos of the band (well, that could be them under the chastity belt hidden under the ghost costume).
Recommended just be careful HOW you ask for it. You might get some very strange looks from loved ones.
