Quick Setup No Drilling Necessary
Installation and setup of the curtain devices were very easy. Had it setup and running in about 30 minutes. The app(iOS) needs to be fix of some bugs. For instance, if you need to recalibrate the curtain after the initial calibration. The app crashes during the calibration period. Connecting between devices by switching from one device to another is not always accurate even when the app says it is connected to the correct mac address of the device you want to control. You need to exit the app and or close the close the app completely. Tips: 1 - During your setup process and once you have paired the device(s) to your phone, Find the settings 'Touch & Go'. Make sure that is turn off. With it is turn on, the device will move in the direction it is tug too. Turn it back on once you have finish the calibration. 2 -When opening the curtain, the back layer sheets will move a bit. To fix this, I use 2 thin magnetics to hold it in place. Depending on your curtain, you will need to find a way to secure it. Mine happened to have a pocket. I place each magnetics in between and used transparent tape to secure from falling off. As you can see from the video, it stayed in place when the curtains were opening.

    こちらの商品を導入してみましたが、非常に便利で生活が楽になりました。特に気に入っているのは、外出先からスマホでカーテンの開閉ができることです。急な用事があっても、アプリで簡単に操作できるので安心です。また、朝日が差し込むタイミングに合わせて自動で開く設定ができ、毎朝自然な目覚めをサポートしてくれます。

    ただ、音が少し大きめなのが気になります。カーテンが開閉する音が目覚ましになることもありますが、静かな朝を好む方には不向きかもしれません。また、取り付けに関しては簡単ですが、レールの形状によっては調整が必要な場合があります。この点も含めて、トータル的には満足度の高い商品です。日常の暮らしが一段と便利になり、これからも活用していきたいと思います。

    So I have curtains that are hung by the loop in its self without any hangers or anything, this did NOT take 30 seconds to install. It needs a pre-prep of some clips which made the loops so apart that the curtain only closed half way. But even then it didn't work... I checked the weight of the curtains and the weight and everything. Unfortunately does not work in any way

    The media could not be loaded.
    It's scary buying these as it's enough money that if it's not great or it doesn't work well it's about £170 down the pan for the pair. Well that's how I felt! Installing them is fine if the pairing process is clean and you nail it first time. If there's an issue and you have to reset it's a world of pain. It's not straight forward (hold button down for 30 seconds etc) and the unit can freeze. Once it's pairing ok it's great to set up. So yeah, they close your curtains! I have mine integrated with Home Assistant and they do a great job. Sometimes the calibration goes out over time and you have to reset.

    But yes once set up they are fine. I have three sets and do not use the hub. It works fine with the app and I work with Alexa by using the home assistant pairing.

    The only thing I would say is the noise they make when opening sounds like angels dying. Once you're used to that it's ok.

    One more thing. Batteries. Maybe you're thinking about buying the solar panel? Don't bother. As these are Bluetooth they go forever. I've had mine for two months and they've used 30% battery, so they are on track to last about 6 months. I'll just take them down and charge them up at that point. Bravo Smartbot.

    When you attach to the curtain pole, if it's not tight they won't work. The instructions say don't add them on too tight but that's what I had to do. And it's fine. And they work.

    So yes, scary. Initially a little unhappy as I was not used to using BLE but now happy with them. It just sounds like cats dying, that's all.
