Manufactured on 180gm, audiophile quality vinyl with replicated artwork, the 14 albums return to their original glory with details including the poster in The Beatles (The White Album), the Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart Club Band's cutouts, and special inner bags for some of the titles. Each album will be available individually, but in this box, they are accompanied by a stunning, elegantly designed 252-page hardbound book. The book, exclusive to the boxed edition, is authored by award-winning radio producer Kevin Howlett and features a dedicated chapter for each of the albums, as well as insight into the creation of the remasters and how the vinyl albums were prepared. The 12"x12" book showcases a wealth of photographs spanning The Beatles' recording career, including many images which were not included in the 2009 CD booklets.

久しぶりに音楽のある生活を送ってます。

少し前にBeatles「1」を買って聞いたところ、初めは聞いたことのある曲ばかりで感動したものの2、3回聴くうちにすぐもう少し知ってる曲数を増やしたい、そうだ「あの曲が入ってない」し、と、もう一つCDを買いたいと思うようになり、どれを買おうかと迷ううち、どうせ最後は全部買うことになるに決まってる、という事で奮発してこれに決めました。
商品はほぼ新品の中古を購入しましたが、特典DVDが入っておりませんでした。その他はみなさん言われてる通り、箱も綺麗で盤も音飛びもなく、素人の私が聴いても音の良さが分かるくらい良くて思わずにんまり。紙ジャケットも出し入れはちょっと面倒ですが趣があっていいですね。あちこちにメンバーの写真がついているのがまるでご褒美をもらったみたいで嬉しい事この上もないです。またすべてに日本語のライナー付きで歌詞、和訳まで丁寧についており至れり尽くせり。日本人の繊細で丁寧な仕事ぶりには感動します。このBOXはBeatles愛に満ちていますね。（まぁお高いので値段相当かもしれませんが…）

CDの内容も、初めて聞いた時は「猫に小判」「豚に真珠」だったかな？と思いましたが2回目にして既に、すっかり嵌った感ありです。アルバムによって好き嫌いはありますが、さすがBeatlesです。ほぼ中学英語で辞書を引かずに歌えるところもポピュラーな理由でしょう。それに213曲というのも渋い。これが500曲なら「へぇ～」で済んでしまう所が、213。もう既に30ぐらいは知っている、全曲制覇も可能では？と思ってしまう。なかなかです。
毎日聞いて全曲制覇はどのくらいでしょうか？半年？1年？。久しぶりに音楽のある生活を送ってます。
というわけで今更ですがBeatlesに嵌るアラ還おばさんでした。ポール79歳！また来日できますように…。

もう50年以上前、中学1年の時、親友に勧められて初めて聴いたビートルズ、それまで洋楽には興味がなかったのに、アンド・アイ・ラブ・ハーの一発ではまりました。その後、レコードを買いあさりました。今や、60半ばのジジイでも、やっぱり最高！！　結婚を機にレコードは全部弟にあげてしまい、後で後悔したのですが、このCDボックスが発売された時、有無を言わせず即買ってしまいました。やっぱりビートルズの音楽は、今でも古さというものを全く感じさせない。。。最高です！！今や、ポールマッカートニーとリンゴスターの二人しかいません。残念です。。。

箱の状態が悪いことが記載されていましたが、かなりひどかった（底が抜けかかっていた）ので、分解して、補修しました。発売日から考える致し方ない感じもありますが、具体的に写真とか貼っておいた方が誤解は少ないと思います。
レコード盤は記載どおおり未開封で、状態は割りに良かったです。（多少波打っている感じの盤がありますが）

I purchased this box set on first release in september 2009.i have listened to every cd and watched the dvd almost twice over since then and my conclusion is - it's well worth it.
when i first opened the handsome box i searched frantically for a poster,certificate or any other piece of paper that might be included to commemorate this release but unfortunately none was to be found.a bit more thought from Apple/Emi wouldn't have gone a miss on this issue.
That slight winge aside,this collection is well packaged and the sleeve notes are informative.
On first hearing the first cd: Please,please me,i can confirm this took me aback with the sound quality, clarity and warmthness and continues throughout the consequent cd albums.none sound sterile or clinical.(a refreshing change).
All the gripes in other reviews about should it have been remixed in sacd (whats that?) etc don't hold up in my opinion.the remastering is highly appropriate and credit to the Abbey road engineers for this.
As for no bonus tracks being included; well in a clever sort of way they are and it's called the past masters double cd collection.i'll leave you to ponder over that - use your loaf folks!!
I have been a Beatles fan now since 1978 to be precise,and this box set release is long overdue and fully updates my Beatles vinyl collection.i give this box set release five stars and won't knock off a star for lack of paperwork.
The Beatles were and are a phenomina and this should introduce them to a whole new generation of admirers.as for the 1 star reviews...pathetic.

What a product this is. The stereo remasters have been well done in my opinion, and this is the purchase for Beatles fans - unless you prefer the mono recordings. With this stunning box set, you can hear a band that had LPs such as Please Please Me, singles such as She Loves You and I Want To Hold Your Hand, progress into an experimentation/psychedelic phase with legendary albums such as Rubber Soul, Revolver, Sgt Pepper and Magical Mystery Tour, then back to basics with the White Album, and closing off their career with Abbey Road and Let It Be - all just in eight years. Buy this as the ultimate gift for any Beatles fan, it is an absolute treat.

I’ve got back into LPs and bought this boxset as a treat for myself. I will leave the arguments about the merits of stereo or mono boxset to others. I bought the stereo boxset as I already owned the original LPs in mono from the sixties. I am personally very happy with this boxset, the quality is fantastic and the book is a great addition. I have a mid level system and to my aging ears (which in truth have probably been exposed to too many Who gigs over the years) the sound from these LPs is very good indeed.

I bought the mono set,and loved it,although not a diehard fan in the way many are,I liked,and still do,the Beatles.I wanted to compare versions,basically,and get the extras,book,documentaries,etc.I suppose it sums up a time for me,my youth,in a way few other things can,and it's pretty much a triumph of a set,making all others redundant.I have the odd album,and the sound here is so,so much better,fuller,clearer,more 3 D.The mono is,of course,great too,and worth buying as there ARE differences,quite distinct,audible ones.For the real fan,both.For the casual one,too,as I've discovered.Buy with confidence.
