I'll definitely be turning friends on to this one as much as possible. For a "spiritual" book it's remarkably accessible, mostly due to the brevity of the segments (though it seems they were culled from longer original works). Despite that brevity it doesn't lack pith or punch. Some of these pages are so potent you'll read two sentences and walk away to let it soak in for the rest of the day.

The "Secrets" here are nothing like the fluffy, feel-good stuff you expect to find in a typical title that has to do with angels or heaven on the New Age bookstore shelf. Some of these passages are challenging or downright assaulting to the mind's fixed beliefs, hopeful expectations, and wishful thinking. Thank God! I, for one, would not be giving a five star review if this was merely some repackaged babble from a "quote a day" calendar that lives on your office desk. We're way beyond self help here. This is true Wisdom, delivered in its bare essence.

I expect them to disappear off my coffee table. And that's fine. I'll gladly let these "Secrets" be revealed.

Cutting to the heart of the spiritual journey

This is a simple book, clear and direct in its presentation. Each page has a short maxim, an idea to ponder, though I found myself pondering less and experiencing more. The ideas and insights presented in this volume have a strange way of cutting through obscuration and revealing a pure experience of spirituality and relationship in life. There were times when I felt moved to tears by the beauty of the words. I used to study Buddhism and this book still pays homage to deeper relationships and the interconnectedness of all things.

One thing to note: This is not a casual read. For some quotes, extra thought and contemplation is required. Apparently, the book was "revealed" and so perhaps the wording might be difficult at times for some to digest, but have patience, for the words will stick in your mind and reveal their power in due time

In a word, I highly recommend this book. Open it anywhere, and start pondering. It changed the way I see the world, my relationships, and my inner life, so perhaps provide a similar gift to you!

Secrets of Heaven: Mystery Teachings Of The Angels by Marshall Vann Summers is a channeled book that touches on different themes of spiritual growth. For instance (the source is apparently from some angels of light in heaven),
Page 30 mentions spiritual families
Page 77: When you leave this world, your spiritual members are some of the spirits that your soul will regroup with.
Page 163: having allies
Pages 228-229: views on knowledge are mentioned
Page 294: You are not alone.

The good side to this book: many sayings in the book are very healing and uplifting while ringing true to my soul on the heart level. However, my only caveat to this book is that it is a compendium of various spiritual sayings. This is fine for those seeking channeled philosophy, but may leave others who may have expected something different still spiritually hungry and wanting more (hence the reason for my three star rating). I actually wanted to rate Secrets Of Heaven: Mystery Teachings Of The Angels by Marshall Van Summers higher (due to my interest in angels, the afterlife, benevolent celestial helpers, the higher self/soul etc.). Additionally, I understand that the writer is only coming from a positive and loving intent, which is why this book is recommended more for those who are looking for a new age philosophy book. I have not done this before, but I naturally feel guided to give this book away for free to the first person who e-mails me at my e-mail address of stellacarrieratyahoodotcome (good for only the first six days after this posted review, which is by 11: 59 p.m July 2nd in U.S eastern standard time). After that, I must take it wherever I feel guided to. This is because I humbly understand that Secrets Of Heaven by Marshall Van Summers may strongly resonate more with someone else.
