Ever wonder how to harness Jewish wisdom to improve your life?
Get motivated to take practical action and make positive changes in your life!
"The Secret of Jewish Coaching" is an original model of Jewish coaching, which is based onKabbalah and ancient Jewish wisdom. Yet, this method is not just for observant Jews.
This book walks you through the entire process of life coaching, uncovering the fears and joys, the plunges to terrible depths and the climbs to unforeseen heights. It goes through the stitches of various aspects of life, including revealing family life, professional life, persona as a parent and a child, childhood and dreams. All this is revealed under the bright light of the search for truth and meaning.
> Where does the magic flow from?
From the author's decision to write, "the coaching" and not "about coaching." Meaning the reader is turned into an unprecedented, intimate partner in the coach's room.
> A journey of a successful businessman
A successful businessman leads a large business system that he built himself, and begins to feel that he has lost the emotional thrill of running a business, and that his deeds are no longer meaningful the way they once were. He turns to his business coach, who has guided him for years, and requests coaching, the way they have done it in the past. The coach senses that this time the client is looking for a deeper experience, and refers him to a colleague named Tzvi.
Tzvi is a Talmud scholar, poet, musician, and philosopher, who contemplates different opinions. He has developed an original model of Jewish coaching, which is based on Kabbalah and ancient Jewish wisdom. After an introductory session, the two depart on an exciting journey to reveal the soul's secrets, in a quest for deeper meaning. The client is astonished to discover that the key to all the secrets is hidden within himself.

The author, Benny Gal, does an amazing job with this book to make it very relatable for all people gain knowledge and teachings from its story. The beginning of the story can apply to most people I know, the main character is basically at a point where he's feeling like something is missing in his life. “Where and what do I do now?” I find myself asking these very questions often. All people come to these questions in different ways, and I really enjoyed how the questions were humbly started because of closed newspapers. As the story progresses, I found myself along for the ride, wondering how I should follow the same or similar steps to reach my own fulfillment in life.
Overall, my journey through this book began in skepticism, then transformed into a beautiful path where I learned a lot about myself along the way, and ended with a plan to begin implementing change.
The explanations of the inner patterns really found its way into my perception. Not only that, in chapter six, the notion of fixing instinct was definitely well rooted in a good thing. Whether you need a little bit of encouragement or you’re looking at changing your life for the better, this book can help in a very real manner. Usually religious rooted books are heavy handed, but this one isn’t. It’s written a conversational manner and while it does push a little, it never feels like the author is trying hard to control your life or to sell you something. I appreciated that, and found some of the lessons to be powerful.
Have read a lot of them. Co-wrote one for women. Men have told me that they found the book useful, I thought that would be the case, and to that I say the more the merrier.
The reason why am I bringing up my book in this review is because as a non-Jewish person there is lots of information in this book that was very helpful.
However - and this is important - this book was written specifically for Jewish people and that's who will benefit and appreciate lessons taught in this book the most.
I say this because there were many terms and reference to books, Jewish Bible, that I didn't understand.
I applaud this author for writing this book with a specific niche audience in mind.
Moving on, as with any good coaching/self-help book there is much wisdom and coaching lessons included that could be useful to anyone.
Author Gal, acclaimed coach in his own right continues to learn and seek out the advice of mentors. That's humbling. One should never cease to be unwilling to listen or learn.
Write your movie script, although the "define your life/destiny concept" is not new it was presented in a very interesting way though a story of two people wanting the same parking space
Practice, practice, practice. And give without expecting anything in return. Great story about a friend of a relative helping Gal to practice for big event (for several hours per day) and not expecting anything in return.
I enjoyed this book and the way in which coaching tips were intertwined with stories.
Jewish people might get the most out of this book, but others will be inspired and motivated!
Okay, but, you don't really want a review about the cover, I know. I generally read fiction, however, my step dad is Jewish AND a Coach, and I picked this up just because I was curious what it would be. So, it's not what I thought it would be, but I'm glad I read it.
You don't have to be Jewish to appreciate the positive ideas in this book that can help you make positive changes in your life. (In fact, in general, most religions pretty much offer the same kind of advice and you can be an atheist like me and still apply some of these ideas to your own life.) That's pretty much what I plan to do.
If you are super picky about grammar/punctuation then I recommend something else, but if you are interested in the content this book has to offer, it's a great read. Very easy to read and clear to understand. And that is where the focus on books like this belong, IMO. Well done and inspirational indeed!
The author gives amazing insight, cultivated over years of intentional practice and directed by a compassionate heart. This work will show you a clear path toward greater freedom, meaning, and belonging regardless of one's religious background. It offers an inspirational yet practical vision on how to make vital connections that link our emotions, thinking abilities and energetic states, opening up a world of possibilities.
This is a must-read book for or anyone who desires to make real change in their life. It's an excellent guide for those who seek to integrate who they are with how they live.
