I use this recording exclusively for my own personal enjoyment and I appreciate this performance so much I play it frequently both at home and in my car. If perfection is not an easy concept to define, and may differ from one music lover to another, I have no doubt Deborah York’s extraordinary work will reconcile all baroque music aficionados over this magnificent and flawless recording. The King’s Consort give justice to Vivaldi’s most intimate compositions and adeptly demonstrate how timeless and relevant his genius work is for today’s and tomorrow’s audiences.

Vivaldi's music still remains as a hallmark of mysteries as his music is a mystery in it's movement and texture. This second recording of Vivaldi' s sacred music by Hyperion is outstanding and the rendition is powerful to bring to it's climax the motets of Vivaldi to their intended ambitions. I think it is worth to buy this second edition of the complete Vivaldi's sacred music. The singing is bright clear and sharp on every note and the orchestration interplays are balanced, both the voice and the strings contending to eclipse each other at intervals. This music recording gives a gift to the ear the most recorded powerful music of Vivaldi motets. The opening of the cd starts with the powerful motet ' In furore justissma iria' which is rightly interpreted by the powerful strings and voice. If anyone wants to start to discover Vivaldi's in my opinion I think it's worth to try this recording of Vivaldi's music which brings down the 'fury' and captivating 'rage' of his brilliant music.
