Phosphorous by Adam Bennett is a deeply mysterious tale. Something that readers must find out as the events unfold, layer by layer. Seriously addictive, the book has the ability to transport one into the realms of strangeness, where modern science superimposes on the ancient. Meeting seemingly real characters, the ghastly adventures take off on a bumpy plane ride across the strings of science fiction.
Hundred years on, even on the 22nd century, people's lives hasn't improved. It still hangs in the balance pretty much. Into the Eye by Sam M. Phillips, is such a story. The riveting descriptions of port life, this very well thought out unforgettable story, is both profound and poignant. It deals with all kinds of unsavoury predicaments that Alberic has to face, the unfairness of it all, starting from his boss's highhandedness, to exposure to acid rain on the ship and so on. His struggles, nonetheless continue as he dithers, sandwiched between the life of imprisonment and freedom. He must seek, not the truth, but Varsez pearls; the price of his freedom on an arduous journey. He is completely out of depth he knows, however, this also knits a neat paradox of worldly wisdom - Alberic gains invaluable experience.

Some of the Best Science Fiction from New Authors2019年8月11日にアメリカ合衆国でレビュー済み
It has been a long time, since I have read such amazing science fiction from new authors. I am a bit old school in my taste for science fiction, in terms of craft, but this book was well worth the read. It had the right balance of action and tech and characters that I loved. Even the side characters were compelling. "Phosphorus & Into The Eye" two novellas in one volume were both equally satisfying. I especially appreciated the commentary against fascism in "Phosphorus ". If you are looking for science fiction that is innovative and a page turner, this is the book for you. My only complaint is that I wanted more stories! Get on with volume 2, you crafty authors.
