I have been waiting for this for ages!....and it doesn't disappoint!

Unlike many authors of 'adult' fiction, Xanthe Walter can actually tell a good story!

Yes, there is a fair amount of sex - well written and sizzling hot! But there is also drama, action, romance and a good helping of humour!

I seriously hope that this is the first of many, many books we will see by this talented writer. She thoroughly deserves a wide audience!

I never thought I'd be giving a BDSM themed novel a 5 * review because its my least favourite side of m/m romance ( I just don,t get the dynamics or enjoy that ' kink' - just me, 'shrugs' ) but I was looking for something different and the reviews where amazing so I took the plunge and have to say I loved every page of this book, falling head over heels for Rick, Matt and the gang at "Collar Crime". Xanthe's BDSM universe was cleverly constructed and gave the story a lot of its humour - I loved how she took things from our world and put the dom/ sub spin on them., but what surprised me the most, despite the BDSM aspects, was how romantic and loving the sex scenes were between Rick and Matt, considering they contain dom/sub practices that normally turn me off - for once I sort of got it, but that's testament to how well the author has written these two totally endearing and extremely likeable characters. I enjoyed the beginning of the book but when Rick 'coaches' Matt ( phew! Hot. ) and they finally get together only to part because of Ricks ' one time only' policy with his subs, that's when the book really took off for me and I was glued till the very end. When Matt was with Rule ( excellent baddie ) I got so frustrated, I just wanted to shake some sense into Rick! Great balance of fun, angst and steamy romance peppered with quirky characters. Now I can't wait till she writes another story from this entertaining universe, fingers crossed its Daniel and Karls story. Really glad I took a chance on this. No regrets whatsoever. Brilliant!

I've been a loyal reader of Xanthe for the past few years and always get excited when a new story came out as she never disappoints. I must admit that I was wary when I first heard about her writing an original story after all writing about characters I already love was brilliant but could she create new characters that I would love too? And the answer is YES! Xanthe has not only created a fantastic bdsm world where everything you know is completely different yet so similar you can believe that it does exist somewhere, an amazing story which keeps you enthralled from beginning to end, scorching sex scenes but also a set of fantastic characters that you can't help but fall in love with.

The only problem you will find is that you won't be able to put her stories down and have the urge to read everything she has written, however everything from Xanthe is amazing and you will never be disappointed!

This is a fantastic book I was captured from the first chapter and fell in love with the our two leading men immediately. Rick and Matty are opposites in every way and they say opposites attract but these two are two stubborn to see the good right in front of them :)
The author has created a wonderful kinky world where BDSM relationships are the norm and the sex is hot hot hot but tastefully written. There is something for everyone, romance, mystery, suspense, and bad guys. Cant wait for her next book.

There was plenty of mixed reviews for this one so I didn't know what to expect really. But I just loved it. I thought the 2 MCs were just beautifully written and fell in love with both. This was a good long read which I'm a fan of, and it certainly required it cause it took Rick and Matt a long time to eventually realise and accept their true feelings for one another. I have to admit it took me a while to get into the idea that in this alternate reality everyone was bi, but once I got there I was immersed in this story. I would have loved if there had been a sequel with Daniel and Karl
