AGX glass is amazing. The 23k gold is very flexible--that is good and bad. You can warp the fit easily. But the fit is pretty iconic if you find the right size. How does one judge their face size? I don't know but bought both the 52mm and the 55mm to see what, if any, size made a difference. I needed the 55mm with a 7 1/4" hat size. The 52mm was only too small when I closely inspected photos and rode my bike. The wind in my face--drying my eyes out-- led me to stick with the 55mm.

These are not oakely's they are heavy, especially 23k gold. It's not a lightweight material, and their is a lot of lens material is also heavy. I get pretty deep wear marks on my nose after long periods of use. But if you pick up some raybans in contrast you can feel that other frames feel like flea market knockoffs of the RE Aviators.

These sunglasses are perfect! Everything about them feels solid, from the quality of construction, to the bayonet-style temples that secure to the side of your head due to their unique curve. The lenses are spaced widely-enough apart and have a very good tint (mine are AGX) that allows me to wear them extensively throughout the day without eye fatigue, which I experienced with other 'Aviator' styles. I also appreciate that they are 100% UVA/UVB rated, which was another consideration for their purchase. The construction makes for a perfectly balanced set of shades on your face. They feel heavier than a comparable pair of Ray Bans, but that weight does not transfer to the nose area where they rest. Some very well-thought out rubber nose pieces grip your nose and hang on, so they stay very secure on your face.

Randolph Engineering Aviators are definitely worth their cost.. I was looking for something that wouldn't wear out quickly, and be more comfortable than what I've used in the past, and have not been disappointed.

These are the most expensive sunglasses I have ever purchased. I will likely always buy these for the rest of my days. I love them. They are heavier than many sunglasses, but not bad. I love the look, the feel, the comfort, and the build quality. I look for excuses to wear them.
***Update 02/2021***
I wish I could add another five stars for customer service. I sent my glasses in for repair which Randolph Engineering offers. Within five days I got word they were covering under warranty all the repairs. I had my glasses back in less than a week. I have never seen an equal in quality or support. I wear these glasses, and one other pair of Randolph Engineering glasses all the time. They are the best eyewear I have ever had!
