Arrived on time and in good condition for its age, the book was published in 1991.

For anyone who programmed in assembly language or machine code this was (and probably still is) the Bible when it comes to interrupts on the PC BIOS, DOS and third party equipment using system calls. The book is just as I remembered it from yesteryear and is an invaluable resource. There is a free software version available, however; I prefer the book version. Ralf Brown (and Jim Kyle) have collected what must be the definative collection of interrupts including the interrupt function number, the contents of the registers for setting parameters and for getting return values for any given interrupt function.

For the measly price I paid for the book it is worth every penny.

Delighted with book and service. Recommended seller and I would definately use again.

Ahh, a blast from the past. I had this book when it was first published... wrote plenty of low-level routines from it, and then through my moving and crazy idea of ridding myself of old books, it was gone. 20 years later, I'm reacquainted with my old friend... If you want a glimpse of what goes underneath the covers of a PC, here is a book for you. I haven't tried some of my old MS-DOS routines lately, but I am sure that below the covers of Windows, hardware is accessed the same way, just need to get past the MS security to touch them once again.
