The Open Secret: An Introduction to the Theology of Mission (英語) ペーパーバック – 1995/2/1
(1909-1998) Lesslie Newbigin was born inNewcastle-on-Tyne, U.K., in 1909. He completed hisundergraduate studies in Cambridge and then served asStaffSecretary of the Student Christian Movement in Glasgow, Scotland. He studied theology at Westminster College atCambridge and was ordained by the Presbytery ofEdinburgh, Church of Scotland in 1936. That same year Newbiginmarried Helen Henderson and the two of them left for Indiawhere he was to be missionary of the Church of Scotland.
Overall, a nice read. I have some issues with what seemed to me to be kind of a little compromise here and there with a kind of theology that does not want to affirm categorically doctrines like the inerrancy of the Bible. Yet, it was very informative. The author is one of the most influential on missions nowadays, and for those who are studying missiology, this is certainly a must read.

Taking in the thoughts of Newbigin while reflecting on the Trinity, New Creation, and the Church has breathed deeply into my faith and life as a disciple of Christ! Truly the practicalities of life cannot be separated from the identity and character of our Lord and savior!!
