This book was the perfect travel companion! It introduced us to several less traveled sights, such as Musée Marmottan, home to the world’s largest collection of Monet’s work – and much less crowded than the Orsay. It also provided interesting facts about the major sights allowing us a new and interesting perspective. The book does not make hotel or restaurant recommendations, but our best meal was at a bistro mentioned in the chapter discussing Bistros. I heartily recommend this guide for your first or tenth trip to Paris!

As a long-term Paris resident, I completely recommend this book to those who'd like explore this fascinating city beyond the '1op 10-must-see-tourists-sight'. Only In Paris covers an extensive collection of quirky, unusual but worthwhile sights. Paces you'd never know existed, and that you would not have found on your own unless a local took you there. Amazingly, this book contains places that i thought were my personal secerets and the author has a real knack for finding off-the beaten track places. It shows you that Paris is an amazing city to explore that offers far more than the Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe.

Bought as Christmas present for my husband, who spent most of the day immersed in it and said he loved it... then on New Year's Day he found that he'd already got it! Grrrr!
