"COME UP AND SEE ME SOMETIME"
Welcome to the nurse's office! School Nurse Hitomi is more than happy to help you with any health concerns you might have. Whether you're dealing with growing pains or shrinking spurts, body parts that won't stay attached, or a pesky invisibility problem, Nurse Hitomi can provide a fresh look at the problem with her giant, all-seeing eye. So come on in! The nurse is ready to see you!
Shake-O is a Japanese artist best known as the creator of Dr. Hitomi's Monster Infirmary.
Hitomi herself is a very likeable protagonist, as she tries her best to help her students feel comfortable with who they are. She also has some of the funniest moments in this volume. The rest of the cast so far is quirky and memorable.
Overall it's a strong start to a series with a good cast, nice comedic timing and a lot of heart. Shake-O artstyle is pretty unique but not in a bad way, which lends itself to some interesting character designs. You'll know what I mean when you see Hitomi's dad. If your looking for a nice slice of life with a twist Nurse Hitomi is a good choice. As a final note while it didn't bother me, there were a few dirty jokes just to noted.
I enjoyed it, the art is akin to the art of Kill La Kill but the characters are enjoyable and the interactions are as normal as you can expect from a monster world. If you enjoy Monster Masume, you should enjoy this one. I will look forward to the next issue.
It is a good read. The demographic is teenagers and above. Since of the content maybe inappropriate for those who are young.
