Great for parents also learning Spanish2019
This is a good book for learning body parts. I am learning Spanish and teaching it to my 22 month old. He likes this book and asks for the cuerpo book. Sometimes it's a little difficult to see what is being pointed at (for instance the elbow). But all the pages have both English and Spanish so I just point to body part on my son. The back of the book also has a list of body parts including those in the book and a few that aren't in the read aloud story with pronunciations for each. I checked this out at the library and decided it to buy it because it was so helpful.
EXCELLENT BOOK & SERIES!!!!!2016
This series of books is among the best I have found for beginning bi-lingual learning. Rather than just label body parts it offers simple phrases to initiate immersion in and use of the language. For example one page shows a picture of fingers and toes, labels them in both languages, then offers a simple phrase such as "i have ten fingers and ten toes" in both languages as well. I find the level of involvement and intellect to be perfect for our 2 1/2 year old.
This is an excellent book with respect to teaching young children Spanish! My granddaughter will be three years old next month (01-15-08) and there is nothing she cannot say in English, so teaching her Spanish is fairly easy. She is familiar with the language since I speak to her. However, she finds it more fun to speak when we use the book. In the back of the book there is a section that teaches the reader how to pronounce the words for the children in the event that the reader is also learning. I am fluent in Spanish, but did not teach my two boys. I am now teaching my two grandchildren; books like this are a perfect way to help children and adults learn.
This book seems like they took a chapter out of a Spanish language textbook and made it a board book. Like other books in this series, it has very busy pages with everything labeled. There isn't much context, there isn't much to read or a story. It doesn't keep my daughter's attention at all. It's boring to both of us, so I doubt we'll be able to learn much from it!
A good way to start your child on spanish.2014
A good way to start your child on spanish. A cute, sturdy, little book that teaches both english and spanish words and fits easily into little hands. I bought several of these as I want to start my baby on spanish.
Spanish pronounciation would have made this a great book.2014
This book and other Spanish/English books that I bought or will buy would have made great billingual books if they had the Spanish pronounciation in them.
We bought this book because my son loved "Mi familia y yo" by the same author. This one has a bit more vocab to get hold of, but we are slowly getting to learn the body parts. Love it that both languages are side by side. Another great resource from Gladys Rosa Mendoza.
Even I learn a few things2013
This book is very thorough with labeling body parts, I pick up a few I didn't know. I like the colorful drawings and its a nice size for my Lo to pick up and play with.
This little book is great! I'm teaching my grandson Spanish--now he's teaching his little siblings! This is a bilingual book.
Learning tool for your toddler, the only down fall is..2013年9月5日にアメリカ合衆国でレビュー済み
Just didn't like that some of the pages clutter one to many words of discription onto one of the two children models used throughout the book. It does have an English/ Spanish sentence, then arrows names the body parts in both languages. This book to a learning eye might be intimating at what the illustration might be trying to reference to or might not even be so grasping because it just looks like too much information given at once. I usually play a game or sing a song (sometimes using the song Head&Shoulders, knees and toes), while using the book and pointing at my own body parts. That does gets some laughs...
Some body parts2011
This book is very beginning. It covers, hands, feet, eyes, ears, nose, hands, arms and a few others. But not head, stomach, back, etc.
