I don't think any player would be disappointed in this instrument for the price. Also, I'd like to note, having taught several kids their first chords, this would make for a great beginners guitar. It's smaller size makes it easily comfortable to play for smaller hands.
This is NOT a Taylor or a Gibson! But for your dollars it is a well built quality sounding instrument akin to the tone of a smaller parlor guitar.
I give Luna Safari 4/5 stars.
this would be a good student guitar. I am a smaller adult and have been playing twenty years. I have a bad shoulder so with a full sized long necked reach is painful. the action is nice. not too stiff. I would recommend this guitar to a beginner, traveling musician, a person of smaller stature, or anyone who needed a nice little guitar for less. I got the solid mahogany because it matches my ukulele's. I really like the sound of the spruce top better, but it was more expensive. I love this little guitar.
Only negative is the case/bag - basically a plain vinyl bag to carry (BP straps included, though), and protect from scratches. For the $$, though, this is a non-issue - you can pick up a very nice G/Bag for $30.
If the worst happens, and, in a drunken stupor I fall squarely thru the guitar, I'll buy another. For less than 1/3 the price of a new Baby T, I can afford to scratch it, or, even carve my name into it. Not the same thing as when my ex decided to use my 1959 Martin small-body guitar as a router to reshape the kitchen counter. The counter won... wish I had the Luna then. Summing it up, I've had the Luna on the road twice so far - did exactly what it was supposed to. Buy it!
Guitar has a nice sound though.
