Pertti A Pietarinen was born in Finland. He studied mathematics and computer sciences at the University in Helsinki, Finland. For thirty-eight years he worked globally in IT, games and mobile communications business, mostly in Finland, U.S.A and Japan. During his business career he always had a dream to write books. This dream came into reality late 2010 when his first book was published. Years 2014 and 2015 have been years of Children's books. Main thing has been the charming and engaging picture book series "Lucy The Cat." So far five volumes have been published. The most recent ones are volume 5 "Lucy The Cat Christmas" and Volume 4 Lucy The Cat And Little Kittens. Earlier books are "Lucy The Cat Play With Me," "Lucy The Cat: Little Brother" and "Lucy The Cat." These books are available also as bilingual Japanese - English version and in Finnish, too. Japanese Books are: Lucy The Cat Christmas Bilingual Japanese - English, Lucy The Cat and Little Kittens Bilingual Japanese - English, Lucy The Cat Play With Me Bilingual Japanese - English, Lucy The Cat And Little Brother Bilingual Japanese - English, Lucy The Cat Bilingual Japanese - English. The Finnish versions are called: Lucy-Kissan Joulu, Lucy-Kissa Ja Pikku Sisarukset, Lucy-Kissa Leiki Kanssani, Lucy-Kissa Ja Pikkuveli, Lucy-Kissa, Lucy The Cat. Lucy The Cat series will continue and new volumes are planned for 2016. "God's Children" the inspirational Children's picture book was published in 2014. So far it is available only in Finnish, but hopefully some day it will be translated also in English. Pertti A Pietarinen was born in Finland. He studied mathematics and computer sciences at the University in Helsinki, Finland. For thirty-eight years he worked globally in IT, games and mobile communications business, mostly in Finland, U.S.A and Japan.

During his business career he always had a dream to write books. This dream came into reality late 2010 when his first book was published.

Pertti’s first children’s books were published in 2014 and his main project has been the book series Lucy The Cat. Lucy The Cat is a Sacred Birman Cat and in this book series she tells about her busy and funny life with beautiful pictures and Lucy’s own words.

So far 6 volumes have been published and the story continues. These books are available in English, Finnish and as bilingual Japanese – English. The volumes are:

• Lucy The Cat

• Lucy The Cat: Little Brother

• Lucy The Cat Play With Me

• Lucy The Cat and Little Sisters

• Lucy The Cat Christmas

• Lucy The Cat Sushi Time

Another projects is inspirational Christian picture book series God’s Children. The first volume is God’s Children and second volume Kingdom Of God will be published during summer 2016.

Pertti’s fascinating, illustrated fairy tale book "Kissa Kiiskinen sankarina ja muita satuja" was published in March, 2014. So far it is available only in Finnish, but hopefully some day translated also in English.

His 3 first books, published in 2010-2012, belong to Christian genre and are available only in Finnish.

As an author his main influences are classical writers like Leo Tolstoy, F. Dostoyevsky and Jane Austin, but he loves also J. K. Rowling, and The Holy Bible always influences him.

フィンランド人 Pertti Pietarinen 作のねこのルーシーは、とても美しいバーマン猫ルーシーのお話です。ルーシーが自分の日記を読むように語りかけてくれる視点が、とても独特で面白いです。

作者の Pertti のルーシーに対する一杯の愛情がとても良くわかる本です。とても可愛い写真や優しい言葉があふれる最初の数ページをめくるうちに、読者の皆さんもたちまちルーシーの大ファンになると思います。

絵本ですが子供だけでなく大人が読んでもとても心温まる良い絵本です。子供に読んであげたり、自分で写真を眺めたり等家族全員で楽しめると思います。猫好きの方ならルーシーの写真を見るだけでもとてもいやされます。

優雅なルーシーちゃんの世界に引き込まれます。バーマンという高級猫を飼いたくなりましたが、案の定、高価でビックリしました。外国の絵本なのに、日本のライオン製品のキレイキレイ・ハンドソープが登場したりと、著者の遊び心も楽しめます。猫好きさんは、写真集代わりとしても楽しめそうです。

パッと見、シャム猫かと思ったら、バーマンでした。どっちも高級で、何となく似てますが。個人的には両方いけます。バイリンガル絵本は英語も日本語も見られて、得した感じがするので好きです。
