National Geographic Traveler, September 2006'Lonely Planet Phrasebooks. Portable, pocket-size, cheap, and available for almost any country you might want to visit...'
It hasn't been updated since 2003; the section on cameras had the words for film-related items, but nothing on digital cameras. The cover did not hold up well. It's still firmly attached, but halfway through the two-week trip, it looked scratched and blistery. The big surprise, though, is that it had absolutely nothing on laundry or laundromats! I would have thought that would be a must-have for the Lonely Planet crowd. We managed by miming things (ironing, folding) with a very patient laundry worker.
Still, it's a good book, and I'd consider buying an updated version in the future.
