The contents of the book
There are 20 units with a dialogue and two or three lessons each. How you study one unit should be as follows:
1. Read and listen to the dialogue.
You can download audio files from the site below:
At the beginning of each unit, you’ll read and listen to the dialogue which is about 90 to 100 seconds long. The grammatical items which are to be studied in the unit are used in some sentences of the dialogue.
The dialogues from Unit 1 to 20 are a serial of one story. A Japanese man gets a position in a foreign-based company in Tokyo and does business with a winery in Indiana, USA. You can learn many expressions and phrases for business tactics, too.
2. Study each lesson.
You learn grammatical items in each lesson reading explanations written in English. The explanations are not recorded, but you can listen to example sentences which are short and easy to say. Listen to the sentences and repeat. The pause after each sentence is about 1.3 times as long as the sentence. So, you would have enough time to repeat after it.
At the end of each lesson, you have a “Speak-Up” practice. Listen to the audio file and speak up according to the instruction which is also recorded.
