Writing as a life long admirer of Joni, this is a nice tribute to the greatest woman singer songwriter ever to walk the face of the earth. Problem is, none of the interpretations can hold a candle to the originals, well intended as they may be. Also a word of caution; right in the middle of the set comes Graham Nash, with "Our House". It came as a surprise because I like to listen first of all without paying much attention to the track listings etc, I like to be spontaneous, but to my considerable annoyance, this has given me the WORST case of ear worm EVER! I can't get the f*****g song out of my head.
Quite why there is no Blu-ray disc release baffles me. Surely in 2019, some 13 years after Blu-ray was first introduced, we shouldn't still have low quality DVD releases. Audio is also very poor - no high resolution track. Not recommended. Avoid.
Joni was one of the audience as pop singers from today and yesterday performed her hits, though Graham Nash performed his song, Our House, describing where he and Joni lived during their relationship! An interesting selection of songs and performances! Ah! the march of time but the memories! No point in comparing who was best/worst etc just a great selection of Joni's work. Enjoy!
