JOBY ミニ三脚 ゴリラポッド GP1 グレー
Other mini tripods are surprisingly bulky both in your pocket and in a camera bag, this is so light and just scrunches up into whatever space is available.
However this won't bear the weight of a SLR with a telephoto lens though apparently there are others in the range that will.
Another slight disadvantage is one of the advantages - the quick release clip at the top that allows you to quickly detach the tripod from your camera. It is very very easy to forget that this clip is still attached to the bottom of your camera, and very very easy for it to unscrew itself and drop off and get lost. It's well worth ordering a couple of spare quick release clips at the same time.
One thing no-one else seems to mention - it is a good substitute for a set of worry beads or the Red Dwarf Tension Sheet! Could probably keep a small child occupied on a long car journey (not too small, those joints come apart...)

For using with my Panasonic HM-TA2 camcorder, I bought the original, Joby Gorillapod, instead of a copy due to its good reputation, and also, the sale price - a little over £11. including free delivery from Amazon - which seemed a good deal. And, it is.
The TA2 sits securely on top of this tripod. Ideal for accompanying me on outdoor photography trips. As other reviewers have already mentioned, the tripod is light and small, easily 'scrunched up' to fit in your bag or large pocket. It is not recommended to leave it in a vehicle where the fluctuating temperatures may damge the tripod.
(I never thought a tripod could look cute, but this one resembles a stripey-legged alien. Or is that just me?!)
Do note that you purchase the correct tripod for your camera / camcorder, regarding the measurements and weight.

This version of the Gorillapod would not suit anything but a lightweight/compact camera although I understand there are heavier weight versions available.
Very light and portable. On a practical level, most people carry a compact in their pocket, handbag or a small case on their belt unlike SLR users who normally have a bag with room for odds and ends. Therefore, taking the Gorillapod means you'd have to find room in a jacket or bag.
Ok, it`s not in the league of the Manfrotto tripod I use, but then it doesn`t have one of Nikon`s large camera / lens collections to support. It`s small camera use only.
If you`re on a holiday it`s perfect to wrap round railings, posts, etc especially for longer exposures.
I even pulled the 3 legs together, to make a `grip` to allow walking, while videoing.
It fits in a pocket and is light, so it`s not a nuisance.
Well worth the money &, a swivel head option would be better but, not essential.
Well, this is the business!
It's cheap enough to support his minor production requirements and light enough to take on a day's outing with the family.
The pictures on here do not do it justice - it is a multi-flexi tripod than can even wrap around a small tree branch if needed to get that perfect shot..
It also screws into my Fujifilm Finepix-Z35 digital camera and a Casio Exilm Ex-Z60, so that should give you all a good gauge to measure the fitting!
great product, great price! BUY IT!!!!!!!!!
However it does appear to be well made and sturdy enough for the camera I am using it with (Fuji JZ500 point & shoot). Any larger camera would need something a bit sturdier.
The quick release feature works well, the part staying with the camera is small enough to allow the camera to fit inside its case easily, though I have to remove it to replace the battery. The main part is small enough to slip into a pocket.
Using the Gorillapod with the 2 or 10 second timer means I can easily include myself in photos, both indoors and outdoors.
The item is cheap enough and delivery was quick so I can recommend it.
I haven't had much chance to use it yet, but as far as I tested this is far superior quality to my previous one. More sturdy and feels much better. It is over 3x the price of cheaper one, but if you're going to use it do not hesitate to pay more for this one. It will pay of in long run.
Ideal for any small camera (in my case it's for GoPro and works perfectly).
Very pleased with it, it's very easy to use, works well with my camera and video camera, and has allowed me to position them both in locations a person or other tripod couldn't get to (e.g. in a tree). For the price you can't really go wrong, and if in time the joints become too loose I'll just replace it with a new one.
The phone holder screwed straight on to the bolt and it's ready to go.
