Generally a pleasant read for the non-scientific public. Quite a few references but then Dr Macciochi repetitively writes that saturated fats are bad and depress the immune system and polyunsaturated fats are healthy! There is no evidence or references for this as there aren’t any (other than obsolete national guidelines). Shame as this undermines the validity of the rest of the book which I thought was quite good.
Summary:Read critically with a pinch of salt.

A MUST READ2020年3月25日に英国でレビュー済み
Thankfully a book written by an expert!! Well done Jenna. Straight talking and well structured this book puts to bed the myths and fads spun by the health and wellbeing industry, explaining the complexity of immunity in everyday language ! If you've been baffled by autoimmunity and the growth in non-communicable disease and trust in science this book is for you!
Excellent book. A pleasure to read, and full of gems!2020年4月1日に英国でレビュー済み
With so many books being published in the health space in recent years I find some have little new or interesting to say. I've followed Dr Macciochi's work on social media for a while, so I was excited to read her book, which hasn't disappointed. Quite the contrary. It's written in accessible language, conveys complex concepts clearly, and doesn't drawn you in dry scientific evidence, whilst being 100% evidence based. It's been a pleasure to read and I recommende it to anyone interested in the subject of how to support your immune system with a scientifically grounded, common sense approach.

Really enjoyed and hopefully will benefit from reading this book. Scientific and technical, yet gives a holistic view in a very readable and well constructed way. Very absorbing indeed!
