Follow Guri and Gura through a year of surprises. Usher in the new year by visiting friends, waltz in the snow in February, welcome spring in March, see all the garden produce grow in April, enjoy the beauty of the world in May, listen to music in June, and in July enjoy the Tanabata Star Festival. August is spent at the seaside, but September is wet with strong typhoons, October is a time for reading, November for eating good food and the year finishes with a party in December. The book ends with dancing, singing, happiness, friendship, and the message to enjoy everything. Each illustration is filled with colorful detail and glows with warmth; longtime readers will recognize many old friends from past adventures, as well as discover new ones. The second title in the series to be featured in a special, large format edition, this ninth volume of our Guri and Gura books is a treat for everyone who has read and loved the series.
