The neoprene cover is VERY nice. No hanging threads or exposed seam ends. It fits perfectly and feels like high quality leather. The Velcro latch is very well done and holds everything together as snug as I could want. All buttons are completely accessible and I experienced no difficulty activating any function with them. This includes the large central four way directional thumb switch. Even the sealed on-off switch has a molded convex protrusion to aid in locating it under the cover and help with the activation. There is no distortion when viewing the screen. The clear plastic window is as clear as it can be. The added thickness of the cover over the body of the GPS is an asset rather than a compromise. I feel it makes the unit easier to hold with my medium large hand. I get the impression that this cover will protect my GPS from water, dirt and UV rays and should I drop it, there will be a little more cushion to protect every part of it. The covered GPS will not fit in the RAM Mount nacelle for my ATV. Not a fault of cover at all but it would be great if there was a way to use it there.
CONCLUSION: I couldn't be more pleased with the cover - money well spent!
This case fits the 60CSx well and does a great job of protecting the screen and adding some protection for the sides and back of the unit. As others have mentioned, the plastic cover over the screen does increase glare and makes using the arrow rocker buttons a little more difficult, but I don't find either of these problems severe enough to reduce my enjoyment using the GPS with this case. You will need to take the case off to access any of the data ports (USB, etc.), change the batteries, or access the SD card slot. The case has a slit in it for a lanyard attached directly to the GPS, and a hole in the back for the screw knob that attaches to the belt clip that comes with the GPS unit.
Bottom line - if you want a magical case that will protect your expensive electronics when you abuse them, keep looking. If you want a case that will greatly extend the life of your GPS by absorbing wear and tear then this case is a great choice.
I replaced my 60CSx with a Garmin Colorado 400t, which I like much more that it's predecessor. I also bought Garmin's hard carrying case for it. Now that is one well thought out design! It is made for the bare unit to just set in it, completely enclosed. There is no plastic covering the screen or getting in the way of using it's features. It has two methods of mounting and both are more secure than the clip on this case.
I don't think that the 60 series would fit into the Colorado case, but Garmin might want to think about making one like it that would. It's much better than the case they are offering here.

I do however, have some gripes about the cover. The plastic cover can make entering data with the rocker pad tedious because even though you are pressing the rocker one way, the plastic causes the rocker to respond another way. I would rather have seen a separate cover for the buttons that was a bit more pliable. Also, you have to take off the cover if you want to plug your GPS unit into your computer via the USB cable. An opening in the cover would have made this easier. Lastly, the cover does not work with the handlebar mount for the 60cs. I really wish that it would because it is on the handlebars of my bicycle that I need the most protection. Therefore, I also bought some plastic screen covers to attach to the front face of the GPS to prevent it from getting scratched. However, the plastic screen covers and this cover do not play well and I have found that the cover pulls the plastic screen covers off.
The 60cs is a big investment. Despite the flaws in the cover design, it is definitely worth the extra cost of buying this cover. And pick up some plastic screen covers as well.
Also, due to the very tight fit, when using the rocker button it's very difficult to go "left" with the rocker. The plastic is sitting right on the rocker and I have to practically press the "FIND" button to go left.
However, the fit is perfect, I can shove some paper between the unit and the cover, and it doesn't interfere with the clip-on feature.
1.Smooth, thin rubber and spandex-like material with snug fit resulting in high quality feel with almost no added bulk.
2.Ultra clear cover that does not hinder viewing maps.
1.Thin material may not be suitable for rough use.
2.Ultra clear cover extends over buttons resulting in vague operation.
3.Case must be removed when attaching to car kit.
I own the 60Csx. The main reason for the 4 star rating is #2 under "cons". This may be more of a concern if using the 60Csx rather than the older 60Cs. I've read a review elsewhere from someone that tested both units and said that the newer unit was better in almost every way except button feedback. The reviewer felt that the older Cs bested the newer Csx in that regard.
