Too much journey, not enough reward....

Let's be honest, we know how this book is going to end from the blurb. The time it takes our h to finally get rid of the dbag at the front of the line takes the majority of the book. It's one stupid decision after another. And even then, I'm not certain the choice is all her own.
As frustrated as I was with Kate, I enjoyed the book. I loved Declan.
I'm iffy on Kate. Ben is trash. Kate's friend's are Rockstar best friends.
3.5 stars.

I loved this book! It was passionate and funny and I could barely put it down. I fell in love with Declan, one of the main characters. I didn't think I would at first, since he's not your typical hero, but the more I read the more I thought he was an irresistible character.

It opens with Kate running into her old boyfriend Ben, who broke her heart years ago. The book takes you from the present to the past in the first few chapters, showing Ben and Kate's relationship. It's really fun and you totally get why Kate never got over Ben. He comes back into her life at the same time that things are heating up with Declan, a reformed Irish bad boy. I also quite like Kate, as she is reliable and has a great sense of humor. There's a lot of witty dialogue with some super funny situations. It's definitely steamy too (those scenes are superb!). Fire Down Below is a very fitting title!

The book gives me that feeling of falling in love. The romance is so real. I could go on, but I don't want to give everything away. I will say one more thing though, that some of the love scenes really moved me - especially in the second half of the book. They were so emotional and intimate. I wish this author had a backlist! Apparently she is coming out with another book soon. If it's anywhere near as good as this one she's going to be a new auto-buy for me!

I love Andrea Simone’s book. Although the relationships are trouble free….with right two people, there is incredible chemistry! I loved Declan, the sexy Irishman, and he brought out the best in Kate!! A must read!!

I like my romance funny and hot and this was both. As soon as I read the first few pages, I knew I was hooked. The heroine, Kate, is coming up on her thirty-fifth birthday, when her ex-boyfriend Ben suddenly comes into her life again. This is the guy who once broke her heart. The book starts in the present, but then shows you Kate and Ben’s relationship in the past, too. It’s very well done. As a result you understand why Kate wants Ben again, but at the same time is uncertain. And then there’s the Irishman, Declan. He’s so sexy and witty that I fell in love with him almost instantly! Plus he’s got this bad boy past. This book is steamy and it doesn’t hold back much. You really feel the emotion with both guys, especially with Declan. Very satisfying ending too. Can’t wait for the next one from this author.

This is a new author for me and I'm in love!!!! I have read all 4 books in one week! I LOVVVED this one! Funny and sweet and did I mention hot and steamy???? Kate definitely deserved her forever after and Declan was the perfect guy! Can't wait to read more!!!
