[English Review] Best Option For North American Fans
Aniplex USA's release of Fate/Zero on Blu-ray in 2013 was released in 2 sets at a premium price. This 2017 Japanese import release contains both seasons plus includes the English dub audio and English subtitles. Aniplex USA was also heavily criticized for encoding their English dub audio at a low 192 kbps as lossy Dolby Digital 2.0, the Japanese audio however was lossless LPCM. The English dub audio on this release is 447 kbps; still lossy but now DTS so it is a substantial improvement and the Japanese audio is DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 so it's lossless here too. Both Japan and North America Blu-ray region codes are region A so you will have no problems playing your discs. Very happy with my purchase!

さて今回私が購入させて頂きました本作品ですが、Fate/stay nightという作品を本編とするスピンオフ作品となり、Fate本編からおよそ10年前の日本の地方都市が舞台となっています。従ってFate/stay nightという作品を知らない方には話の進み方が急展開過ぎるかもしれません。

では何故普段アニメを見ない方にも勧められるかというと、アニメとは思えないグラフィックの綺麗さにあります。
このFateシリーズを製作されている会社のアニメは、作品に対する愛情を感じずにはいられません。

何より戦闘シーンは他のアニメや下手な映画よりも迫力があり、見応えがあります。
※但し、流血シーンもたくさんあるので小さいお子様にはお薦め出来ません。

登場キャラクターも個性豊かでキャラ立ちがはっきりしていますし、有名な声優さんが多数出演されているのも見どころかもしれません。

アニメ故にファンタジーな要素も多いですが、魔術師が描く魔法陣も凝っていて、サーヴァント(平たく言うと実体化も出来る超強い幽霊)を召喚するシーンは、美しく描かれていて個人的にはとても好きです。

どんな願いも叶える万能の願望機”聖杯”を巡る戦い、その戦いに参戦してる魔術師達の胸に秘める熱い想いと、その魔術師に付き従うサーヴァントたちとの交錯する想い、そしてそれぞれの想いの果てに辿り着くこの戦いの結末を、是非このレビューを閲覧して頂いている貴方にも堪能して頂きたいです。

Fate/stay night [Heaven's Feel]を観てFate作品に興味を持った方、 Fate/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works] がイマイチ合わなかった方、日常系アニメや萌えアニメに飽きてしまった方、普段アニメを見ない方にオススメの作品。

奈須きのこ氏ではなくまどか☆マギカで有名な虚淵玄氏が脚本しているためFate/stay nightの設定とは若干の相違や、型月ワールド特有の難解な設定が数多くありますが、それが気にならないほどスピンオフ作品としてかなりの完成度を持っています。

濃密な脚本と劇場版並みの作画と背景のクオリティはまさに文句のつけようがない傑作です。

The menu is in English by default so navigating to the menu to change the language is easy to do. Great show and a great product. I can't find it anywhere else for a good price
