FEATURING CD, インポート
Besides selling 40 million albums and winning 9 Grammys in less than 10 years, over the years Norah Jones has collaborated with dozens and dozens of artists from across the spectrum of music. This album collects Norah's favorite collaborations from 2001-2010 into one amazing collection: legends like Ray Charles, Willie Nelson and Herbie Hancock, rock artists ranging from Foo Fighters to Ryan Adams to Belle and Sebastian, hip hop luminaries OutKast, Q-Tip and Talib Kweli. No matter the genre however, Norah's enchanting voice is the common denominator and while the partners are varied, she ends up owning every song and this album is a wonderful collection that holds together brilliantly. The album is a testament to Norah's status as one of the most in-demand and tasteful musical connectors in music.
2010 release, a collection of collaborations that Norah has been involved with over the years. Brooklyn-born singer/songwriter Norah Jones first captured the hearts of music fans globally with her 2002 debut Come Away With Me, blending Jazz and Folk with Pop hooks brilliantly. While her solo work has always been special, this collection shows off her appearances on records by the likes of Foo Fighters on 'Virginia Moon', Q-Tip on 'Life Is Better' and Belle & Sebastian on 'Little Lou, Prophet Jack, Ugly John'. Jones' ability to diversify her sound to span different genres is what makes this album such a treat.
If you have enjoyed Norah Jones earlier releases then buy the album, you certainly won't regret it. There are no bad tracks just some that are merely good in comparison to the gems.
That just about says it. This is an incredible album featuring a remarkable woman. 18 Tracks collaborating with others. Norah's timeless voice, subtlety and intuitiveness. Simply put, her star is vastly underrated and Norah is unfortunately far too ignored by the general public. More fool them. If you are here reading this and am contemplating getting this...don't contemplate no more. Norah's incredible voice is by far more than enough to get this and I will not go into the plethora of other reasons. Simply put if I could I would be clicking the stars until my fingers bleed. Love is inadequate...this album makes up a part of the soundtrack of my life, I have owned this since the first week or so of its release and will never want to be parted from it. In fact after that DID happen I got a second copy!
Do yourself a favour, get this album. And if you don't know who Norah Jones is this will introduce you to a TRUE singer/songwriter and musician
Very enjoyable, and a good addition to any music collection
