"Some authors tell great stories with drab prose, and some have striking prose, but no real story. Greene nails both." -Unbroken Journal "What's surprised me is how such a short book has left lasting thoughts. Greene's use of words has evoked such vivid images and thoughts that I find I'm contemplating life and death myself. An interesting and thought-provoking read." -Happymeerkatreviews, C.

This was a beautiful, yet heart-wrenching story of how a family deals with a deadly disease that has struck one of them. Yet despite the seriousness of the topic, the author still managed to convey a sense of peace and acceptance. It is so well-written that I actually felt all the emotions conveyed in this book. Sadness, grief, but also happiness and hope. This is a well-rounded, and exceptionally written story!

A great little book from a talented writer. It had a moving story, maintained a unique narrative tone, and a deep layer of themes. I'd recommend this to anyone who is looking for a poetic voice in fiction. Similar books (with tone, pace, or story) could include Joseph Conrad's "Heart of Darkness," Evie Wyld's "All the Birds, Singing" (though I think Greene did a better job with the monster at the end), and also Don DeLillo's "The Names" and also "The Body Artist." If you like any one of these books, I'd suggest you check out "Descriptions of Heaven." It will be well worth your money and time.
