I deducted one star because the design is centered perfectly on each sheet - which means that the right side goes almost to the binding, while there is 5/8" margin on the left side. Margins top and bottom are 1". The book itself is 8"x10". I would like to have the drawing either larger to fill more of the page, or at least centered between the binding and left edge, rather than both edges.
Overall, I find this book delightful, as I love animals and whimsical pictures. Children would enjoy this also, though it is likely too intricate for most children under 8 or so, depending on the ability and patience of the child.
The paper is typical CreateSpace paper, a bit thin, so one should use the test page to check what bleeds through and what not.
I find this book a nice middle ground for both adults and kids. It does have drawings that are quite detailed, like the snake and owl drawings, and others, like the turtle and the boars, that kids may get to color as well.
