シャリースが大好きで、ここ数年で一番音楽を聴いているアーティストです。新作が出たので楽しみだったけれど、カバー曲でスローテンポな曲が多いため、今までで一番メリハリの無いアルバムになっています。もっと活躍して欲しいなぁ…。

Über die wunderbare Stimme von Charice ist hier nur Lob zu versprühen, denn die kleine Filipina ist über jede Kritik erhaben. Heftige Kritik aber gebührt den Machern dieser "CD", die doch nur eine 6-Titel Maxi-Scheibe ist. Charice kommt hier nur mit 6 gesungenen Titeln zum Zug, dazu gibt es dann noch die gleichen Titel als dünne Playback-Versionen. Sicher hätte die Lady auch schon bei diesem ihrem Erstling genug Power und Material gehabt, die CD mit Anspruch zu füllen, dafür hätte sicher schon ihr Mentor David Foster zu sorgen gewusst. So aber ist das nur die halbe Miete, für die der volle (CD)-Preis verlangt wird. Für Charices Stimmgewalt gibt's 5 Sterne, für das Label 1 Stern, macht im Schnitt 3 Sterne. Schade.

Charice, the Oprah girl, is the "real deal" and this is her first album.

"Charice" is certified Platinum in The Philippines and probably is double Platinum by now. It was produced & released by Star Records, the largest record producer in The Philippines. When Charice's popularity soared following her appearance on Ellen, they rushed to release this; re-recording demo recordings Charice had done in Sweden, as well as some of her most popular performances on "Little Big Star" a PI national talent show similar to the US, American Idol and UK, X-Factor. For a rush album it has acceptable production values, allowing Charice's extraordinary voice to shine.

The single from the album, "It Can Only Get Better" was very popular here. It had a really cute Music Video where Charice first showed her acting talent. The first track on this album is "And I Am Telling You" which is the song that caught the attention of the US Talk Shows, when Charice nailed it on TV in Korea.

Charice is the "real deal" and this is her first album. May become a collectable. Charice's second album, "My Inspiration" is also available here on Amazon. I own both and highly recommend them. Plus she has a duet on "Christmas From The Heart" with David Archuleta.

Charice's latest release is also inspirational. If you haven't already, go download "A Note to God" right here on Amazon. It is the first single off her new album to be released February 2010. This is the fabulous song written by the legendary Diane Warren and produced by David Foster himself. Its debut on the Oprah Whinfrey show was breathtaking. It is a great prayer to listen to every day!! "A Note to God" belongs on every MP3 player in the World.

Don't know how to use a MP3 player, "A Note to God" is now on a just released album of famous singers called "Now, Vol. 31" which, of course, is available on Amazon.

The only thing missing from this album is applause after each and every song! She is phenomenal. Whereas with some young women (especially teenagers) singing love songs, there is a thinness to their voices that reveals their youth and makes the themes of the songs unbelievable; this is not so with Charice! It is as if she is channeling an older, wiser, more experienced woman who has loved and lost and loved again!

Chances are some of your favorite love songs from the 90's and early 2000's are featured here...it's a keeper!

I love this young lady's voice -- covers or not, Charice has got the goods. I have been a fan since the release of her first US CD which includes Nothing, my favorite song. When Infinity released in Asia, I had to have it and I was not disappointed. Chapter 10 was an obvious choice and a welcome addition to my music collection. I am looking forward to a new US album/CD from her in the near future and you know that I will buy it first day available.

Her voice is incredible. I have three of her DVDs and it is amazing that such a powerful voice could come from such a young, small person. I expect that she will continue to evolve and get better and better as she matures. But I can't imagine her voice being any better than it is on this DVD.

Being impressed with my initial observation of this girl, I ordered this CD. It is disappointing as she only sings on about half the numbers. The rest are orchestral only, although lovely. Her voice is dynamite and I would have preferred an entire CD of her singing. Also, someone needs to compose some original numbers for her so she is not merely copying other big stars selections. I believe she needs a new agent to fully expose her amazing talent to the world.

I saw her perform on the DVD for David Foster's PBS special. He said she is 15 years old. What a powerful voice! Her renditions of the songs on this album are as good as the original artists. She'll only get better as she gets older.
