How is one to know? An overlooked East Coast Classic!
2006年2月25日 - (Amazon.com)
Some of the best news regarding old-school music has been the surge in issue of such to the market during the current decade. Great to see some of the rare albums reissued on vinyl and cd. Due to factors (lots of great music did not get the benefit of quality marketing and needed airplay)numbers of albums remain obscure to many. Reality is, all soul/sweet soul album releases were/are not knowledge to all listeners of such. For many, soulful treasures newly unearthed. Here we have an example of a very good soulful, self-titled album release by the group "Caress". Produced by the legendary Patrick Adams during his P&P era (how could the group go wrong). Supply/Demand impact from knowledgeable soul record aficionados caused the original 1977 album to become a somewhat pricey collectors item, has been that for many years, mint albums were not abound. Patrick's skills help weave a nice mix of smooth vocal(ballad collectors take heed)/mellow/uptempo grooves (that remind one of the Philly sound). The album is far from obscure to all! For those who never got wind, "how is one to know" if there's no picture of the cd (original album cover) and info? Numerous excellent albums released during the 70s, this is one of them. Limited pressing here, soul/sweet soul collectors alert, need get, while the gettings good! Another welcome addition to soul/sweet soul collection - 1977 release is a collector's record. It's buy time!
